Grant owned slaves till he was forced to free them in after the war of northern aggression ended. While Confederate General Robert E. And if you want to have pride in something...why not raise the American flag or your native GA state flag? Georgia's newest state flag is based on the first national flag of the Confederacy the "Stars and Bars," which would represent your southern pride. This flag you are worshipping was only a partial design of the actual Confederate Battle flag not the FULL design and not even the 1st or 2nd flag of the confer...so know your history before you get on here making a mockery of yourself kid!

This flag represents the oppression that we as African Americans have endured for years; this is a symbol of segregation and the racism that reigned not only throughout the South but throughout the entire United States. I graduated from Ole Miss during a time when during football games white students and fans would wave the confederate flag, and the band would blast "Dixie." The more attention you give fools the more they try to make their symbols hurt you...CORRECT! But have some common sense!!

@ubermcnuberz u need to learn that yes we all evolved and depending on where we traveled to as homosapians and settled determend the need of our evolution Africans in the sun heat and shit required black skin because it works best with the environment they settled with and blacks that settled in different parts of the world that had caves and not harsh conditions not getting to much sunlight there for whit skin absorbs more light witch is needed to survive and over time this changed to white.

@DreaminBlackness What you fail to realize in the north had slaves just had the south did but nobody seems to point that fact out. Former President and Union general Ulysses S. Grant owned slaves till he was forced to free them in after the war of northern aggression ended. While Confederate General Robert E. Lee freed the slaves given to him as a wedding present in 1860 BEFORE the war began. Don't be brainwashed by one sided history books learn the facts.

The flag was a battle flag which the war was NOT over slavery. There were black people fighting along side whites for southern rights. The north was steam rolling the south in Washington and they said enough and stood up for themselves. The flag is not racist it stands for freedom.
