@joker199614 yes, but to me that seems like a pretty big waste of money. Whatever you built probably won't be any better than the jeep itself. Just replace the chassis and add some steel plate, that'll be better than any scratch setup a beginner can build. Bottom line: you don't have to get new motors and whatnot, just make the existing design sturdier.
you know a simple way to get rid of the tether would be to have a two servos conected to your swithes, basically turning your controlller into a cheap rc motor controller! this seems like a great way to get high school studentes involved into robots! if your on a budget, get two rc controllers and with two "servo motor controllers" and have your students share. great project for beginners! keep up the good work!
