  • Great memories!

  • If you do a hit of acid you'll know exactly what he is saying, especially about the Bad Captain Madman. But when you come down you forget again.

  • When I was young I spent many a stoned moment trying to figure out what he was saying.

  • love this!

  • tie these f=ckers down..

  • 1st ever rap song!

  • It was great to here CREAM play this live at MSG in 2005. I remember playing this album till it wore out in 1969. Back then my mother herd this music comming from my room. She got to like it, esp. CREAM. Matter of fact, she came with me & my wife, & son to see Cream at MSG in 2005. # generations at the concert. Great show.

  • @peteypool ..my granny sat on the floor of the FILLMORE WEST to see SANTANA perform their FIRST album...she was 72

  • Ginger Baker is the MASTER

  • There are a few things that really make this song. First and foremost, the intertwining recorders; just brilliant. Second the gradual development, a bit reminiscent of Spector's approach. And last but not least, Clapton's powerful guitar work at the end. Also, a very amusing little story, quite picturesque and colorful.

  • What a treat to find this song here! I used to play bass in a bar band called Amplified Heat, which name we stole from the narration of this song. I love the brief jam on the fade out at the end. Great track.

  • It sounds like Baker is narrating because neither Jack or Eric sound like this when they speak.

  • @Jay435 Yep. That's Ginger's unmistakable Cockney accent

  • @Walkingshadow1 And his fabulous drumming.

  • Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton really get a chance to play off each other in this one. Sitting on Top of the World is another rare example of the interplay between these two great musicians

  • It is rather obscure, but it's one of those songs you can't not listen to.

  • I dug this out of my dad's records when I was 13 back in the 80's and loved this song best out of the whole album. Still do.

  • The rhythm guitar sound on this (and the whole album) is to die for.

  • @EdSullivan101 Drummin ain't to shabby either

  • so glad you put this up. i was worried i wouldnt be able to find a copy on youtube.
