  • He thinks that science doesn't need other things like spirituality

  • how is he so sure about all this.

  • Kaku became a media whore

  • @HeilNizar he is a very sought after individual with an immense amount of knowledge. i dont think he has to ask to be filmed.

  • @PartyIsCool No moron hahahaha

  • @PartyIsCool Oh cheez his mothers here guy's bashing us because we think the chink is just a copy cat trying to make a name off real scientists..

I've heard this morons theories. Nothing to even give a notice about.

Go work on something that works and your a part of and I'll respect you china man.

I never said he was not a good entertainer or a bad guy... not that.

as for you mommy .. we hurt your whittle boy a so sorwy.. maybe a giva him a little steema rice he be okay okay?

  • it doesn't matter what new technologies will arise in the future, if I'm not alive to use it and experience i don't care about it. their first goal should be either life extensions or clean, reliable energy... then everything else can come next, or better yet all be created near the same time =D my opinion =P

  • wtfruit dats crazy ....

  • Dr. Michio Kaku for the scientific representative of the Homo Sapien species anyone?

  • Hack the universe.

  • This is all geart suff but can all this compare with a sunset? I rather be at the beach with my love watching a rerun of the sunset

  • Human pride is the only pride there can be.

  • @viicISrotcib no I think there is also fallen angelic pride.

  • @pastageek2 whatever suits you.

  • fuck if it weren't for christianity we would be exploring galaxies right now. i really fucking hate religion, causes so many wars and brings nothing beneficial to humanity

  • @TheRealTingAling well said.

  • @viicISrotcib pandering to populist stereotypes isn't well said; it's foolish and ignorant. Also being a yesman isn't any better.

  • @TheRealTingAling i dont think Christianity says anything against exploring the universe. or physics for that matter. and religion isnt the thing stopping us going to other galaxys, the speed of light is. you dont seem to know much about physics do you? and correct me if im wrong but more innocent people died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki than any religious war.

  • @ehdave100 I didn't mean exploring universe specifically, just scientific advancement. The Christian Dark Ages. and the reason we had to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki was because of all the shit they were doing in Asia. Unit 731, look it up. They were doing it because they believed their emperor was a god, or was god-sent.

  • @TheRealTingAling they also believed they were superior race. I agree, they had a nuke coming. Russia deserved a few too.

  • @TheRealTingAling everyone has a worldview which can be called a religion considering that no matter how you think the Universe began, you cannot observe its beginning. Also I'm going to have to agree with ehdave100 in that Christianity hasn't prevented anyone from ultra far travel. There might be ways of going faster than c, but again, Christianity hasn't prevented any of that. You might be getting the evils of the Catholic church mixed up with true Christianity. It's a common folly.

  • @TheRealTingAling and belief in darwininian/luciferian evolution in various forms has killed tons of ppl and is the main error in most if not all the religions that sprang from mystery Babylon. True Christianity doesn't start wars for no good cause. And as a Christian, I'm going to try to push the boundaries of science since the Bible doesn't forbid it. If you would read it instead of throwing mud you might not say such ignorant things.

  • @pastageek2 My apologies, didn't mean to offend you. I'm too used to calling Roman Catholicism Christianity. I meant that I hate all the corrupt popes during the Dark Ages and the Reformation that prevented so many great things. They threw Galileo in jail for stating the facts, and they called it blasphemy.

  • @TheRealTingAling ah good glad we have that settled. One thing to note is that the pope by calling himself the vicar of Christ is when you see what the Latin Vicar means in Greek. It is the same as anti which can mean in place of as well as against. I consider Catholicism a very ancient heresy. As for my belief on God, I think he would want us to state the facts, just as Galileo did no matter what the opposition. That's why true Christianity is very politically incorrect.

    Hack the Universe.

  • Kaku is a genius ;)

  • More like MVP of Science

  • What I love the most: The "smart pill" that you swallow and diagnoses your health was in an episode of the Jetsons.

  • @fuital: I agree with you but I think the Dr. is talking about things or technology in general, not necessarily humans... Now, technology comes from somewhere... And the last time I checked it doesn't grow on trees, lol

  • Your clothes will call an ambulance, that's pretty cool, but when will our clothes provide CPR? Now THAT would be something! Thanks Dr. K. you're the MAN!

  • 2020 you say? Well, 9 years is a lot of time, I hope something will happen.

  • vids like these are enlightening to our minds, compare this to the nonsense present in d so called holy books i wonder why people want to stick with prehistoric bronze age superstitions?????this stuff is no illuminating

  • Am I the only one not looking forward to this?

  • This is 3 year old video and no, we don't have flying cars yet.

  • @Glennoboyo they made flying cars. They are like the toy's you buy tha fly .. but a bit different.8 fans doubles up holds 4 people

    and floats on water to.

Also has a giant fan in the back like those swamp croc hunter men.

I was very impressed to see them.

  • in the future they better have cordless headphones

  • @lilHippo hahah they do ity bity small ones with 960 o surround sound

  • @Dorisequador oh...but did you know i thought of that idea 4 hours ago

  • @lilHippo They have not been release yet..

  • I like him very much but he is not that intelligent.

    He just reads alot.

Just because someone studies to be a Dr doesn't mean he is a good Dr.

  • @Dorisequador WHAT?! he developed the string theory a widely accepted and ingenious theory that explains the whole fabric of space and time.

  • @SomeBoredGuy94 give me a break he hasn't done shit.

He's just a talker and repeats what others have already invented.

  • @Dorisequador Spoken like a true ignorant fool.

  • @Dorisequador ...how ignorant. You obviously know nothing about Dr. Kaku.

  • @Dellcrw Kaku ryms with Fuka U LOL

Well, i'm not saying he not entertaining but he's no Willem Gravesande, Einstein or Sir Isaac Newton.

    Not even close.

He has studied their work and re-literated it.

He has not taken mankind into another leap by any means.

    Thats all i'm saying..

    facts mam just the facts.

  • It is natural that people are scared to think of what the future will be like but it`s also natural that we are curious to know/imagine what the future will be like!!

  • It makes me smile when i am thinking of my life in 50 years in the future

  • Ha, pill computers to fix us from the inside! I had that idea in 3rd grade. Problem was, the contest for new inventions had to be practical, and in 1989 as an 8 year old I did not know the mechanics of it. However, since I thought of it first, I would like a percentage of the royaltees that go to whoever final develops it.

  • @tradutom yeah i am having the same problem i've already thought of inventions that are going to be created in the future, they're stealing my ideas 2 days after i thought of it

  • lov this guy! man those car beeping noises in the bg are p-ing me off. beep beep now thats lack of cpus!!

  • lov this guy!

  • fuk this im happy with the world the way it is now

  • Car is powered by equivalent of 8 desktop computers, my 1 computer crashes all the time, with 8 you'll spend all your time going to the wrong location or "that English word road accident" will still be around and overused.

  • @neonben76 Is not your computer that crush, my friend. Is the Operating System that make to crush your pathetic computer. Do a fresh reinstall of the OS if u use MS Windows and check the functional integrity of your hardware. Or use an updated computer. Maybe is too old for modern computation.

  • We're no longer sitting on the seashore, but preparing to set out for the first time out to sea.

  • KAKU FOR PRESIDENT!!!

  • in soviet russia, car drives you

  • All that is the bullshit. When the petroil oil will be finished I will ask you about your technologies.

  • @valush35valush35

Because that's the only source of energy... get back under your rock troll, you annoy me.

  • @Androly Fuck off asshole.

  • i admit some of the new tech ideas is good, like the monitoring of health. but there's a down side to tech as well. For example, the car driving. what if the GPS breaks down or lose connection? and also what prevents ppl from abusing the info and hacking them? for me i feel that we shouldn't depend on tech too much, better to be independent, at least i'm in control.

  • NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM!!!

  • Michio Kaku is the man. He makes science interesting and easy to understand.

  • _/\_

  • Relying completly on technology is never a good idea. i love it more than everything but we slowly lose our independance. When we get to the point where technology holds us in the palm of it's hand, we will die when it malfunctions. Technology isn't reliable...human instinct is. It scares me to think of a 100% computer reliant world.

  • I absolutely agree. We better do something about this

  • @kalloused

I agree with you, in my mind what happens when technology gets like The Terminator a mind of its own.

  • @kalloused if I may quote you... "Technology isn't reliable...human instinct is."

Human instinct is reliable to an extent, but in no way whatsoever infallible.

  • @TheAwesomeClub Oh I agree completely

  • Comment removed

  • Truly awesome its amazing that in 150 years technology has taken place in high velocity and keeps getting more advance as the years passes.

I will be in my old ages when 2057 comes but hope to see it change my life.

  • In 2017 There will be no Pc games on DVD'S. We will be inside the game areas. There will be no need to buy Cd's on Ps3 Xbox360 whatever. You will just charge you playing card and thats all.

  • wow i want one of those cars

  • If, in the future when mind can be re-programed, most of the emotion-caused illness will disappear, such as, cancer.

  • that is true, we do have something similar today...narcotics. although they dont work as safe?

  • Where'd you get your doctorette?

Did you print it off the internet?

  • whoa this is where an emp pulse could really fuck everything up.

  • The 'p' in emp stands for pulse.

  • @spleenblender i just punched my PIN number into the ATM machine.

    i hate that so much!

  • it sure looks interesting, thanks for posting...i would just like to know how much of it is realistic, since documentaries are generally aimed at the "unknowing" public, there is a great potential for rubbish...Im completely out of touch with science and technology so i can just marvel at all those visions:)

  • I think I'm watching this an 8th time, this whole series.

  • does anyone know the name of the song that starts at the begining?

  • Comment removed

  • yeah ive heard it on numerous documentories and have asked around but no one seems to know the name of song lol, ill keep searching, and if you some how find it, plz let me know. that song is awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • it also came out in this documentary about marijuana in this show called explorer on the national geographic channel. and it also might of came out in a commercial about obama and his rise to office or something.

  • As soon the Humans begin to recreat themselves its to late. In my opinion Human nature is megalomaniac if the try to play how ever made us then i see no hope for us Humans

  • Excellent, many thanks to Professor Michio Kaku.

  • Kaku is a G of science

  • @gavinmacmounsey

    G?????

  • @TheTimurbest G for Genuis not gansta ; )

  • Kaku looks at all Science tends and piece them together in one great futurist show. However not all Science inventions succeed, so he could have failed to weed out the bad ones. For example I don't totally agree with the Glasses prediction.

  • Kaku is today's Karl Sagan.. And all he is talking about is exactly what I thought about many times before seeing his vids. I love this guy!

  • michu is hiding information........

  • the currency of today,..**

  • One thing you have to remember about the future is that it has to be economically feasible. You might have an RFID that alerts you to medical conditions but unless it can be sold on a wide scale you won't get one.

  • at first all new technoligy is only available to the super elites. Then,it makes the transition to being mass produced and is made available to most everyone. Also you have to consider the way in witch you and I understand economics and currency of today will not be even recognizably similar by the time such nano technoligy is widely available.

In other words, mabye we won`t pay for anything material by the time we invent micro-scopic machines. Mabye moneys not essensial, it`s detrimental.

  • learn how to write and spell.

  • New World Order...revolution!

  • the future will only be as good as the elite will let it be. so long as power is concentrated in the hands of a few there will be nothing but slavery for the masses. if power, money, isn't put into the hands of the majority then big brother will oppress everyone.

  • "with great power....comes great responsibility"

  • The future looks great. Thanks for posting up this video.

  • i know a girl that could swallow an entire medical labratory too*_*

  • "This will give us not only unparalleled possibilities but also great responsibilities."

Ow c'mon.. thats like giving a baby a semi-automatic weapon... pff.

    Power corrupts.

  • i think computer chips should not be allowed in "everything" i think its impossible to even do that

  • i luv this guy

  • wait if they made time machines in the future, then wouldn't they like come at least to some one in the world? maybe it happened but they probably didn't tell they were -_-?

  • Ha ha. Indeed it is...

  • About those glasses. Imagine walking around shitty scumbag london witnessing the dirty streets such as they are. Then you put on these glasses that project a london based on the architecture and measurements, but virtual, cleaner, more adventurous. I can't wait! I wonder when this tech will come to be. I estimate about by 2030-2035. Shit, I'll be 60 by then.

  • Conquered. Oh, you mean infested. Don't worry. We'll weed the mout in good time. We just need lots of bug spray. Or rat poison. Your time is coming my little cockroach friend. But you probably will end up wiping yourselves out, without our help. Just look at the state of your country. You'd think, with as little as you people have, you'd at least keep things homely and friendly.

  • Whew. Such fierce hatred. You kiss your mother with that filthy mouth? By the way, happy friendly person, where are you from?

  • You make me ashamed to be an American.

  • I can't believe someone who talk like you do was watching a Futurist Science video.

  • you don't need to talk to him like that, just say: Evolution will take care of getting rid of you and all other religions. It's a slow process but it will happen.

  • Domzdream, I keep finding your mindless, mean, racists comments everywhere. Please, for the sake of all of us, do stick your nose out of the computer, read smth else then good dr. Dawkins, talk face to face and with respect to some religious people, go out, enjoy nature before changing it, breath deep fresh air on a mountain top and then try respecting something.

  • right intelligence won't be everywhere with people like you spelling Iraq , iraque

  • Ha ha. Right you are. Sorry. My bad.

  • I saw that documentary, really interesting!

  • Excellent documentary. I highly recommend Michio Kaku's book "Visions".

  • Hmm, my first PC was in 1995, and it had a 256MB hard drive, and now you can get a 1 TB hard drive... thats 3906x the space...

  • Hmm Interesting, so now my roommate can go get drunk at multiple bars and have his car drive him home laugh.

  • this movie is amazing! the future holds great surprises and innovations for all of us, that is undeniable. and I cant wait for it!

  • Computers arent artificial Inteliigent. They are I/O interfaces

  • i dink is totally dreams of just wanna make money so dat dey wanna be rich ,,take not on dat people,,who is de richest in de world now??...think about it

  • If this isn't a joke, please remove yourself from the gene pool as soon as possible.

  • may be u should, bcz u r de type of pple from misguided gene pool

  • lol, r u a religious person by any chance?

  • excuse mi,u dink am an atheist?

  • from wat I can tell, your rant made u seem like just the typical overly religious person, one who distrusts science- or more likely u are joking because who the hell spells like the way u do?

  • eey ,,let mi ask, are upto something dats is making u nervous and irresponsible

  • di do dank dinky de dat dey do da der dur dood ....think about it

  • lol

  • think b4 u ask ful...!

  • LMAO

  • i can't even understand what you just read, how is one to ponder that?

  • This is an awesome 3 part mini-series. I finished his old book, Visions; and it was execellent. I'm also looking forward to his new book, Physics of the Impossible that comes out in March.

  • there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop scientific and technological advancement. the best you can do is to discuss the terms upon which future innovations operate under.

  • I've checked Noam Chomsky's "Manufacturing Consent", and this BBC series is exactly that.

  • I agree science improves life. But whose life? Isn't it only those who can afford it?

Of what use is scientific advancement when so many in the world are starving?

Mankind's progress is at mankind's own expense. Some make it... most don't.

Democracy has long been usurped by corporate illuminati. The proof is that it's supposedly being spread by means of war.

  • It's intention is to shape our minds to accepting the invasive technologies that will help secure our dependency on "their" intelligence and "their" total control over our lives.

    This is very sad.

  • That's for the best for all Humans, there is no intention by some fictitious figures you come up with. Who are "they" and "their"?

NWO conspiracy theory can kiss my ass!

People who fear change are those who are slowing Evolution down and make our life boring. Why don't you fucking wake up, I need to see change happening more quickly.

  • Mockingarab, you are quite an activist.

Since you claim that I am asleep, I ask you please to answer the three questions I posed before.

    Thank you.

  • The future all wrapped up and presented as a better world... where the line between human and machine is blurred out almost completely?

Shiny as it may seem, this presentation of the future is nothing less than new world order brainwashing propaganda.

  • its ok to fear change, small minds always fear what they don't understand.

  • Are you inferring that I fear change, and therefore have a small mind? If so, please elaborate further on how you arrive to that conclusion.

  • Still elaborating?

  • you probably already know but Dr. Kaku put this in a bulletin on his myspace for all to see. :-)

  • great vid. thx!

  • I love Michio videos thanks so much you rock!

  • Much appreciated. Thaks for the upload

  • Thanks for the videos!!!! WOOO I was just looking for this!! THE FUTURE OMFGBBQSAUZ!!!1321342457437
