We know ancient peoples (Etruscans, Sumerians, Assyrians) because we have much cross-referential evidence from many places supporting their existence. He's basically saying that 2/3 of our history is made up, and that Russia was once the center of the world, with all the current European nations as basically puppet nations. 1.most of it is interpretation of various classifications that are regarded as probable.
2.there is a great deal of probability that some of these probable assumptions were "doctored"
3.scientists have to make a living and preach what they learned.

This is a basic principle of empiricism. Decartes thought that it would be possible to be freed from religious prejudice, but Locke thought it impossible for humans to think thoroughly schientifically. Kant accepted this limit and created a new way of knowledge: "Don't try to know but try to create!" He gave up knowledge about the noumenal realm things and selected to create the things according to the principle of humanism.

not to try and put your entire argument down (no i don't believe this video) but much (if not all) of the "scientific dating" you speak of is based off of rock layers and subsequently, events in history according to an archaic calendar. eventually the "true" dates are given to what likely happened, sometimes even biased. but hey, the guy is wrong, the other calendars prove it

I know energy is real, because I can feel it and I know everything physical is real because I can touch/taste/hear/see/smell it. That's all I know and all I need to believe.
