I have the 555 and they went through 2 distinct phases during the break in period. Each time they moved from being bright and a bit harsh to a bit warmer but still precise sound. With the port in the back placement by walls and corners really can affect the sound a lot.
@kylestelzer Yea, too bad I let them go:( I replaced them with Klipsch F-1's which are also amazing and some Polk audio Monitor 40's. I loved the 555's but the only thing that put me off was the rear bass port. Made placing in my house nearly impossible with the set up I had. I had taken them to a friends house which he had a larger living room than I did and they opened up. So he ended up taking them off my hands, but we arranged my visitation rights lol
I agree! I love them! I wish my camera was better then you could really hear the sound and view the true motion of the speaker. But I am actually letting these go. Gonna downsize:(
aren't there things called sub woofers that handle low frequencies like that? why no high pass on those tiny 6.5" speakers?

i have the NS-777 with a Yamaha 7.2 surround sound pack and Onkyo amp, they are great speakers when they are set up right.
