I dont care what I do, I cant wrap my hair after flat ironing! It wont stay! It slips out before i do a complete round! And dont get fooled by the name, Im African American. It so frusterating! i cant wrap until about 3 days! Plus, no once i get it wrapped, it hurts my scalp, no matter how loose I do it! Im at a loss. Any suggestions? I dont like spraying the wrap stuff or using the foam, it makes my hair sticky (yuck!). I can't stand it!

When shopping for flat irons, pay attn to how hot is gets, not the name . . . I got my flat iron a year and half ago from MARSHALL's for $30 and it gets as hot as 450 degrees the chi only gets to 356 degrees . . . now tell me which is better?

i had the same exact problem~ just get whichever one's cheaper or looks better, whatever matters to you more...

i chose cheaper and got a sedu, and someone gave me a chi later on... honestly they're both equally amazing (:

I've used CHI and FHI products. The closest 'cheapie' item I've found that actually works is Got 2b CrazySleek Hot Smooth Flat Iron & Blow Dry Lotion. Use it just like the higher brand stuff. Works great.
