  • The King Cobra was a Copper Monaco with a 289 COBRA FIA Engine installed, they had major frame twist problems with it as the Coopers did not have very sophisticated space frames, the much more advanced Chapparal with a monocoque tub and articulated independant suspension lead until it broke down, full marks to Dave McDonald for the win, a tragedy he was killed at Indy in May, 64'.

  • Thats great stuff..thx! Superstars everywhere in this race..macdonald was great driver and i'm sure would've gone on to be an alltime great. Love the king cobra drifting in the turns..beautiful
