Our Scandinavean club of Santa Fe just watched this fabulous, delicious movie for our monthly meeting. Great hearing the melodious Danish language and watching Babbette assemble her famous meal. And there are serious themes too--of loss, growing old, losing one's sweet hearts for a higher gain. Good thing our gang was eating otherwise we would have gone crazy with hunger watching the film. Tusen Tak Danish film industry!!

This is a 10/10 charming film, we saw it quite by chance on the Arts channel, and quickly bought the DVD from Amazon. It's so different and is simply wonderful.
