This is a great video and all but this is not an 82. Its an 84 model. You can tell by the front end.

@XJeff13 82-84 Z28 camaros looked the same. If you thinking of the base coupe as the 82 and the Z28 for the 84 then yes the front ends are different but thats because the base coupe has a different front bumper then Z28s.

an 82 camaro handles well but in its stock form is slow. the 305 is a turkey, certainlly not something i would want to have in a chase like that, lol. now put a 350 into that same car, its a whole different animal. i have a 89 camaro with a 350. its just that in the stock form most of these cars werent that fast. the 305 is not a performance engine at least not in its stock form.

@ad356 unless you have an 85 IROC with the L69 305--- 275ft lbs of torq stock--- add exhaust and a chip, and you can get 300 pretty quick

Of course it wasn't real chase. Unless, urban street orners had camera crews to film spontaneous chases in the 80's
