Blacks represent 13% of the population. Even if every black in a given area votes for the very same person, it would still not be enough votes to actually elect someone. There are areas that have a much larger ratio and in those areas, they are and have been electing representatives but that doesn't mean that in other areas, the reason blacks aren't elected is because of racism.

The blacks are still trying to play the race card and it ain't workin' no mo!

What everyone is forgetting is what was going on in the late 70's & 80's. My best friend was married to a multi-generational farmer. They, like so many family farms, got into financial trouble buying equipment & when the banks called in their loans in the early 80's, they risked losing their farm along with millions of other family farms. They were lucky and both had non-farm careers so they both went back 2 work & were able to save their farm but millions were not. Remember Farm Aid?

Responding to racism and being a racist are two different things. If you listen closely instead of hearing what you want to hear or are conditioned to hear, you will realize that. I don't doubt you are intelligent enough to grasp logical reasoning if you listen. Make no mistake, Shirley Sherrod and her husband are full of rage against white people. She claims to have transcended her racial animosities but that's not true. I don't particularly blame her for having a chip on her shoulder given her life story (though at some point you just have to get over it), but let's not pretend that she's some saintly racial healer.
