I think the guy from SETI is a dopey bastard who is afraid of loosing his job. We have been transmitting into space for over a hundred years but technology is taking us away from the high power transmissions and probably in 20 years the earth will be radio quiet outside our solar system but the dopes at SETI not only think that we are going to pick up some advanced society using antiquated technology but on what frequencies.
