  • If met Vic Reeves, I'd have no desire other than to smack him in the face. (Q April 1994)

  • I've watched this god knows how many times, it's halarious!!! Was morrissey the consumer monkey only in it twice?

  • Morrissey was pissed off with it. I clearly remember an interview with him at the time, urging Bob "to get out of that partnership", or similar.

  • @transonicbuoy1

Q: Doyouhave any thoughts on VicReeves's creation, MorrisseyTheConsumerMonkey?I saw it for a split second and instantly loathed its creator. It was meant to be hurtful. I've met Vic Reeves a few times and it hasn't gone too well. He is a person who cannot close his mouth for three seconds because he feels he'll disintegrate into a bowl of dust. He has to keep going on and on and on. Completely loathsome. Bob Mortimer, I liked. I think he should make a hasty exit from that duo.

  • @mcjprr That was from Q, 1992.

  • This episode was on last night.

  • Blimey. Don't he look young on here

  • It looks a bit like David Walliams

  • who's the third chap in the top hat? two are charlie higson and simon day, who's t'other?

  • Awesome series! Raves and Reeves! What great years these were!!!

  • Did that really piss Morrisey off? I would have thought he love it.

  • They were friends, actually. Vic sang on Morrissey's "The Loop" b/w "That's Entertainment" single.

  • Really? I always heard he hated Vic and thought Mortimer was the talented one.

  • ...And later in the show we'll be having a man who is half banister, and he'll be sliding down himself !

  • This pissed Morrissey off so much, hahahah.

  • He actually liked it.

He's still a fucking CUNT, though.

  • LMFAO FRUIT SINCLAIRE.

  • Slightly tart ;-)

  • Reeves and Mortimer had a knack for creating hilarious names. See Barnes Wallis on the NYBNO

  • Barnes Wallace was a real person. He invented the bouncing bomb. Hence 'bouncing egg timer'

  • We need more of this! more les and lister stuff!

  • Ahahahahah. That's brilliant.

    (I lol'd, and I'm American. Sooo...)

  • morrisey the consumer monkey

    HA!

  • Myself and a group of pals back in Ireland watched one of the first episodes of this in 1990 with our mouths open and from the next episode were totally addicted! I didn't think Americans knew of him.

  • a young charlie higson to boot aswell! class

  • Heh - I love Vic Reeves!!! Thanks! As an American I can't get these any other way! :)

  • Sorry wasn't referring to you Lex, if you find british humour funny, nice one. I was refering Marzimmer.

  • well spotted Jaychristie, but that's part of the fun.

  • Americans aren't supposed to find it funny, as they don't have a sense of humour anyway.

  • But- but - I'm an American!!!!

  • hahah, fucking awesome. He's definately one of my favourite characters on the show. Along with Judge Nutmeg and of course, the Fox from Series 1, heheheh

    ROFL

  • Alan Davison, the cheeky foul-mouthed fox

  • I hate to point it out but the shirt is clearly visible when it its removed

    still funny though

  • Loved it then love it now

  • Thanks, Vic!

  • cbviously a pathetic american brought up on friends and cheers and such unfunny american claptrap
