Oh yeah! Cx's will pull in any gear like a diesel. I did a roll on accel. against an RZ350 (twin 2 stroke) and he had to kick it down 2 gears to match the CX. I just slowly wound it in 5th.. hehe.also you can pull a CX clutch with 1 finger,try that on any other bike! ; )
@theGHETTOMAN1 absolutely right! my 82 CX500 pulls like a truck, any gear. it will pull 5th at 20mph! any other non sports 500 do that? i was on the motorway and a VW Passat went for an overtake and i wound on in 5th and left him for dead! had to cog down when an Audi A4 tdi tried it but still blew him away. company reps in german diesels that have to get everwhere fast and overtake anything get a nasty suprise when they try overtaking this tatty old bike! long live the Honda Maggot!

Feather that clutch, baby! You were ham-fisting it all the way to the grip in each gear. Hope that's not how you shift it on the street.

The bike indeed does run great. The result was 47,5 Ps at 7400 RPM and a top speed of 174, so it's not bad for a bike that's 26 years old.
