@SmTyler13 Reason why it doesn't work is because mini nukes are tagged as ammunition, and exploding pants only checks for grenades and mines. But yeah, it would be hilarious, although getting out of the blast radius might be a bit of a problem...

@sangheili1024 It works if you have the Fat Mine in Fallout New Vegas, then you can make them explode like a Fat Man bomb (you can only make a Fat Mine if you have the Mad Bomber perk from the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC though.) As for surviving the blast, the perk Hit the Deck+A low difficulty would allow you to survive the blast.

You need the schematics to make a Nuka Grenade, one of them can be bought off of Doc Hoff, one of the caravan merchants. After that, you need to combine a tin can, Abraxo Cleaner, turpentine, and a Nuka Cola Quantum at a workbench.

I was already at lv 20 (didn't have Broken Steel installed at the time), so my exp was maxed out. If it wasn't, I probably would have only gotten experience for the one that I put the grenade in.

It's at the SatCom Array NN-07, there's a glitch where the ghoul wastelanders that the Enclave torched will resurrect upon exiting and reentering the satellite facility.
