Barker is good in all areas, but his chin hasn't really been tested which is big concern going into this fight. But all Martinez's good wins have been against comeforward pressure fighters like williams and Pavlik, Barker could make it awkward for a few rounds, but do think his lack of punching power will see Martinez catch up and walk through him!! Hope I'm wrong though!!

Barker suffers from a defeciency that alot of domestic

level fighters suffer from all over the world that prevents

him from acheiving world status. Lack of true punching

power. daniel geale sufers from it too. While barker does box

and defend himself very well, he won't give sergio anything

to be cautious of. I fell that if martinez could stop sergei then

he stops barker too.

I say this will be a good fight, I don't know of darren barker but from the looks of it, he keeps his hands up more the Sergio and is a bit crafty. Sergio, is an animal. I am a Sergio fan but after seeing the video Im impressed with Darren barkers style, especially being a European! Lol, just kidding, much love to the European fighters :-) buuuuut no one can beat maywheather fuckers!!! USA! USA! USA!

A Good Fight! I am skeptical about Barker beating Martinez, but he seems capable of handling quick punches and surely has good combination and defense. He may never face someone as strong as Martinez, but i can't wait to see the fight!

Barker is a lovely boxer and I hope he wins a world title.

His movement, experience and pure boxing are among the best in the world, but I think the true elite will always be to strong and physical for him.

Thanks for uploading this fight so quickly and with such good quality. I'm always interested in D' Barker, a couple more fights and i think he should then challenge for one of the weaker world champs.

@melaniecolin It's been very interesting to see him get straight back in the deep end after such a layoff. You won't see many people do what he has done so well done to him and hopefully like he's keeps on saying onwards and upwards.

@iftyshifty i hope so. A year out, he looked pretty sharp in the 1st 5 rounds. What a crisp right hand and pistol jab. I fear he does lack power but the aim is to win not to knock your opponent out i guess. I think the last half of the fight was made ugly through no fault of Barker. I don't see he beating Marquez for example though :(
