With boots of speed you have 2x the amount of attacks in bg1. This is a tremendous combat boost and CLUAing them early has consequences other than mere convenience. I consider it cheating. If you want to travel faster use ctrl+j instead.
Actually I talked to him at 7:40 :) It was very fast. And I´ve noticed that my playing style has changed a bit when I watch these older videos. Now Im not so quick with these dialogues...
(Continuing to the upper comment) And then give the book to the girl. And you can decide to keep the identify scroll if you want. I always keep it, since either I'm a mage or ???/Mage or I take a mage in my group so it's pretty useful in the beginning. Saving 100 gold for each time you want to identify something. OF COURSE, if you make a Bard, you get heaps more of Lore and you can simply identify items by right clicking them. :)
It really is faster that way. First you talk to Elvenhair to get the quest for the identify scroll, then buy crossbow bolts for the barrack guard. Give the bolts to the guard, search the chest for Hull's longsword and the poison antidote ( which you give to the guy next to the cow, Dreppin I believe?). You kill Carbos in the next house. Get the scroll from the center ( the red robed mage). Give the sword to Hull, kill the rats in the house with lazy cats. Give potion, take book from haypile...
I mean to say like when you were creating the character did you take the stat boosts into Consideration while creating them.. because a warrior or Dwarf will get you up to 19 strength.. which can later be raised to 20+ with the right equipment?
Oh...Well I didnt really thought about strength, because Im using bows most of time. Thats one of the reasons why I dont want to go back and read that strength book :) It helps a little but I concentrate in dexterity.
And never really tried to "maximize" stats. I think these are the best stats I´ve ever had =)
Wow, this was even more impressive then the first one o-o How are you so incredibly strong / Accurate at level 1? Your guy is like way better then my whole party and i dont get it T_T
Im not always like that...xD In these videos I am, it takes many attempts to do things like I want. And there are still mistakes but thats okay. Luckily you dont see those failed attempts and those when Im thinking what to do or do stupid things etc.. =)
Yeah, I don't like either of them myself, but I've always heard that Montaron is like the best evil thief in the game. No big deal that you didn't use them at all.
For someone who loved Fallout 1-3, and can't decide between this and Planescape: Torment, which game would people here advise me to buy first?

I hate Elminster, for belonging to the Harpers, those idiots who manipulate you in BG2 to kill Xzar, and so on.

you fuckin skip half the dialog and speed run through 90% of the shit only to sit there for a minute as the lame narrator speech goes on
Jackalofdeath 2 years ago
Heh, sometimes I forget that I played this way in early videos. But that narrator speech was cool :)

Where do you find the dagger+1?
bleachbankaiichigo 2 years ago
At 0:40 That guy gave it to me. I think if you not have high enough charisma, he doesnt give it.
RPGDeLarge 2 years ago
@RPGDeLarge Mmm, interresting.I really thought I knew all we could do in Kandlekeep, thanks !
cptQc 1 year ago
You Charisma has to be 18! Fuller gives it to you after buying the bolts for him.
