For the life in me, I still don't understand reviewers bringing up gas mileage on a 100k vehicle. I own a 07 S600, and without sounding like a smug sob, it's just not something on my "worry" list. Also laughable is a comment here saying these same gadgets can be found on a Ford. Drive a Ford, then drive an S class. Trust me it will be an illuminating experience.

The BMW 750 has more bells and whistles. My neighbor has a 750 and we were in his garage, he let me check it out when he got it from dealer....that car is I think the nicest in this category......then of course when you jump to the next level you have Rolls Royce and Bentley, but that is another story.

All cars are the same. Whether it be a S550 or a Corolla, it will still take you from point A to point B. We just bought a fully loaded Nissan Altima Hybrid a month ago. It has pretty much the same stuff, Leather seating, navigation, backup camera, 6 cd changer etc. If you can get past the fame of the name, any car will do you good. But as humans, it is our ego that ultimately dictates us and impressing society in our fancy rich car takes first priority.

you're right, i worked for Mecedes Benz at their HQ in Stuttgart,Germany between 2005 and 2008, and 90% of the people who baught that model (2007/8) were people you listed above. The greatest car i drove was the 722 SLR Mclaren. Great Car! =D
