Jim Backus, the voice of Mr. Magoo, was stricken by Parkinson's Disease halfway through the first season. Because of this, the show only lasted just 13 episodes in that only season alone. He died after a courageous 12 year battle from Parkinson's.
I'll admit the theme was catchy, and they had McBarker (the mutt) look and "sound" like Magoo, but that show's odd(actuallty, Barker sounds more like Droopy., aka Bill Thompson, and is voiced by storyman Bob Ogle, ..but ironically NEVER was Bob Ogle used to reprise that voice of Droopy either for HB or MGM!!
Im going to nickname my Son Mr Magoo, hes a sweetheart, but he Ambylopia, which you can't tell by looking at his eyes, but you can tell when he acts clumsy.
I watch whats new Mr. Magoo when I have Time Warner Cable. This show is funny.

I was in the US Navy the year this show was on, so I never saw it. However, from the looks of it, I prefer the early-60s Magoo cartoons.

He also did the bumper that led directly into In The News (as ultimately did other figures from the Saturday Morning lineup on CBS).

Takes me back to the fall of '77.
I'd given up on cartoons by then, but
couldn't resist Magoo. I was really dogged out the day the CBS News Sadat
Peace Treaty coverage pre-empted WNMM. I knew it was important, but....
