I met Nick @ Metro, and saw his Superman suit in person. I bragged on it for 30 minutes while he graciously talked with me and fried in the Metropolis sun. The quality itself is a thing of beauty and is the best made of any I've ever seen, or made myself. While some may see the design as "wrong", it is Nick's art direction and his homage paid to George Reeves. The modifications if any, are what he wanted and change nothing regarding the superior quality or look of the suit.
Great stuff. And flawless George Reeves-costume (just no cow-lick next time. Reeves wore his hair all slicked back...not to nit-pick). You look like you stepped out of that era. Thanks for posting.
The boots are wrong, the S shield on the cape are wrong made and the Shield on your chest is also wrong. Man, it looks nice, but looks cheap as well.. Sorry
What are you talking about??? The suit is an exact replica of the 50's tv show The Adventures Of Superman. The colors and the logo are correct to the color episodes. You must be a young one not to know this... Doesn't look too cheap to me. It must have cost a lot to make. Sounds someone needs to study up on Superman before they make comments.
@MegasKelevra Well the suit is put together from the 1951 (logos) and the 1957 color outfit. It was custom made for me so it wasn't cheap...lol. just thought you'd like to know. Thanks to all those who have enjoyed the Vid. :0)
@MegasKelevra The boots have been drawn lots of different ways, from the original "straps and sandals" look to what is usually seen today. The shield has been many shapes, sizes and styles, including the one you complain about, which was the way it looked in the two Superman serials and the T.V. show "The Adventures of Superman."
And I do not see what you think looks cheap about it.
Holy treasure chest! What a fantastic representation of the event! Was that a real LIS B9 in the museum or a cut out stand up? And you have Elvis merchandise!?

It's Metropolis in the southern part of Illinois. Google it. I think the celebrations are held in June each year.
