@Araclain Warhammer really has a LARGE focus on PvP battles, in realm or in battle ground instances. WoW being better? Perhaps. It honestly depends on the player and their tastes. I love Warhammer for it's wonderfully crafted PvP system where literally all classes have a defined role in PvP and it flows very nicely, you have to try it to understand it. I love WoW for it's immense landscapes and fun PvE and PvP, its dungeons and it's great storylines. So, lets just leave it there, shall we? :P

I play WoW. But its not because its popular. I play it because i love the gameplay. talk about skill when ur standing still spamming buttons in that game. In WoW there are certain classes that dont take skill. and it is very gear dependent. but those are only minor flaws. in WoW you have to kite, cc and be moving all the time.

I have played wow and warhammer, and Warhammer, although it was a great game at first, crashed and burned. they continueslly had to delete and merge servers to keep iot populated, and it stil ldidnt work, and it got boring very quickly, unlike wow how you cna play for years and it will be fun all the time warhammer just wasnt as good. it Failed hard. i also didnt like warhammers classes the game was ok at first but failed. epicly.

Everybody I play with, including myself and 3 others IRL have switched from WoW and like this a ton better...if your judging this game from only the trial you have the little to almost no say about the game, because you aren't even scratching the surface....

What I don't like about WoW is that it's almost fail proof. While they do a great job marketing the game and getting players, I've found the slowness of when I payed it disheartening, that and lack of character options. But I can say WoW is better than WAR just because I tried WAR and everything I thought it would be, it wasn't. It looks nicer but the PvP is stupid and easy. Also the PvE was boring too.
WOW is way more childish, it has good story and everything, but its more a ripoff of Warhammer, War come way before, and has a much better history and content than WOW.

Popularity really doesn't mean much especially if you have a game that's filled with a bunch of kids. You also didn't factor in the lifespans of either games.
War had a rocky start like most games during release but it's improved a lot since and is getting great now.
The Pvp is amazing and classes are actually "balanced". The arena idea honestly isn't even needed IMO.
It isn't a grind-fest either, it's very casual and easy to jump right into and have fun.
@In2netDave Understand that most of their players are from CHINA. Hence why the next expansion will feature pandas.

And The Tyranids did not even have stuff like Hive mind and Synapse creatures until after Starcraft came out.
Most franchises are deriative in the end. There are extremely little that can be called original now anywhere.

I play WoW. But its not because its popular. I play it because i love the gameplay. talk about skill when ur standing still spamming buttons in that game. In WoW there are certain classes that dont take skill. and it is very gear dependent. but those are only minor flaws. in WoW you have to kite, cc and be moving all the time.

@Zacronias heres an explination: Warhammer had a table top FAR before warcraft 1 orcs vs humans came out, warhammer and warcraft were one game, just warhammer, people left and stole some things and make warcraft, they got sued awhile back but still kept warcraft, so just because the mmo was out first doesnt meen the series was.

I have played wow and warhammer, and Warhammer, although it was a great game at first, crashed and burned. they continueslly had to delete and merge servers to keep iot populated, and it stil ldidnt work, and it got boring very quickly, unlike wow how you cna play for years and it will be fun all the time warhammer just wasnt as good. it Failed hard. i also didnt like warhammers classes the game was ok at first but failed. epicly.

i play and table warhammer and play wow and i must say to be serious that wow pvp looks more fun that warhammer pvp on pc sin in the warhammer you just stand still as i see and cast spells where in wow you sometimes have to move and cast and many other things but im not saying that it looks boring just saying that wow looks a bit more fun on pc but table warhammer rocks

I miss this game, Id still be playing it if it didnt crash or freeze on me once per hour. The PVP in this truly is the best ive ever played. I MISS MY SHAMMY!! I ended up trying WoW after this. It ran perfectly but man is that a BORING game. the pvp is absolutely dreadful. The Pve isnt even that fun. plus ninja looters are gay. thank you my little rant is done

What I don't like about WoW is that it's almost fail proof. While they do a great job marketing the game and getting players, I've found the slowness of when I payed it disheartening, that and lack of character options. But I can say WoW is better than WAR just because I tried WAR and everything I thought it would be, it wasn't. It looks nicer but the PvP is stupid and easy. Also the PvE was boring too.

This game looks interesting. I once played WoW but it just got so boring and the new content they add are just ridiculous. Eventhough the content is new it's basically the same as it always has been and a waste of time, but Warhammer: AoR looks cool. Oh and to be honest, I really don't know why WoW is that popular.

i don't understand why is it that people are apparently so stupid in the U.S. According to most U.S WAR players, WAR is a dieing game.... but why!?!? it's cause all the 12 year old faggots choose Wow over this game, whereas (and im being honest here) this is the game for all the people with true pvp skill. hey:) I Totally disagree with you, wow is getting much better both PVP and PVE, Pve is getting more challenging if u choose Hardmode, Pvp is getting muchbetter by arena etc. That require skillz, Warhammer has 340,000 players, wow has 17 million in europe, maybe 40million total. Popularity really doesn't mean much especially if you have a game that's filled with a bunch of kids. You also didn't factor in the lifespans of either games.
War had a rocky start like most games during release but it's improved a lot since and is getting great now.
The Pvp is amazing and classes are actually "balanced". The arena idea honestly isn't even needed IMO.
It isn't a grind-fest either, it's very casual and easy to jump right into and have fun.
