Eddie and Alex are from Nijmegen, Netherlands. Their father was Dutch and their mother was Indonesian. Their father, Jan, was an accomplished clarinet player. In fact he is the guest musician on "Big Bad Bill" from the Diver Down album.

They were BORN in The Netherlands, but they emigrated to the US (Pasadena, Cali. to be exact) when Eddie was 7 and when Alex was 9.
