"Indigenous" mean the original peoples to live on the continent. Mexicans, being descendants of Native Americans, are indigenous to this continent. African have only been on this continent for 600 years, while (the ancestors of) Mexicans have been on this continent for 30,000 years.

X makes the "sh" sound int he Native American languages of what is now called Mexico. 30% of Mexicans speak a Native American language as their first language. Otomi is the largest. One million people speak Nahautl. There are over 100 tribes in Mexico. Huichol, Yaqui, Kickapoo, etc.
