I think my ears just started to bleed. The thing that really gets me............players like Satch and Dave Gilmour make it look like it's so friggin' easy! Damn, I would KILL to be able to play like Joe!
@Stoney15 seeing as satch has been known far longer in the music industry than vin diesel has been in the movie industry, your comment was not only unfunny but pointless.

I seen him live in may last year at the newcastle city hall it was pure electric the time i had in my life and when he played this song aswell as surfing with the alien the hair on the back of my neck stood on end it was amazing ROCK ON JOE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE DON'T READ THIS you will die in seven days if you don't post this comment on 10 videos in the next hour. if you do, tomorrow will be the best day of your life
The only ones that sit at a Satriani concert are the ushers and the lame Satriani Vy and Johnson on tour blew out my knee caps Vy did not impress Johnson for melody Satrini for endless notes into your ears and out the other side of your skull Hamm is great However the audience blows as they threw stuff at him.
wtf, why is the crowd so... tame? If I saw this live I'd loose my shit! Like, their compleatly still and silent during the show! Satriani doesn't get half the respect he deserves.
That IS respect. If the crowd likes him, they should just shut up and listen to the good song. People are there to watch the artist playing not to make annoying noise. Cheer betweeng one song and another, but during the songs shut up and let him show his good work.
I know! Seeing something like this would make me wanna move, maybe find a pit.
Same thing happened at Metallica gig I went to...and I just think 'What's the point of you being here? You might aswell have stayed home and listened to a CD if all your gonna to is stand and drool...'
They're actually listing to the music instead of acting like a moron who's never been to a concert and goes there for beer, chicks and other bullshit cuz they think it's cool.
Joe touches your soul, you'll stand there hypnotized!
@JuggernautJoey well if you wanna go crazy go to a lamb of god concert, joe's music is different, more analytical, recital kind, interesting to watch as well.
@guitar1324 Well there's a difference between showing appreciation and the wall of death jeeze. I think dancing around and shouting are acceptable. Group movement is different from moshing.
@JuggernautJoey well, if i would go to a joe satriani concert, i'd be extremely concentrated in his music without wanting to be disturbed, of course I would cheer between songs and all, but just because they-re not moving doesnt mean they're not enjoying it, not a good assumption, i bet that half of the people that go to satch's concerts are musicians, I would expect to see a more musically oriented audience who actually wanto to analyze and watch what he is doing.
@JuggernautJoey I know man... I saw Joe for the first time about 2 years ago in Melbourne (Australia). My Dad and I were going fucking mental while everyone else was just standing there like fools. I swear Joe came over and was like nodding at us while he played lol.
saw satriani with stu last night in vegas. one of the best shows I've seen. I completely had underrated stu. Now i'm downloading everything he's ever done.
I dont think Johnsons sound is in anyway close to Joes,The closest to his tone id say would be the Amazing great late Shwan Lane.Butlike you said to the casual ear it all sounds the same,lol..

Its great guitar playing, but it lacks emotion. I always thought Randy Rhodes was a great technical guitar player that also played with excessive amount of emotion. This to me is just cheesy.
Most of the time people think that the guitar is the best instrument. It's nice to see Stu with an equally cool bass line, just to show that bass can be cool too.
