  • Nice vid, but one thing, I don't understand. Why at here lot of fat people? Its not reallistic, 'cause fat man can't be paratrooper :/

  • @TheOriginalUbul Lol, I know what you mean. Still, it's an reenactment. ;) To say people with some weight can't join is simply unfair.

  • These things are pretty surreal.

I remember getting lost once when I went to watch a reenactment event being set up, then I walked into a glade in the middle of a thick forest and almost fell into a trench filled with Germans. Was one of the spookiest situations I've ever been in. None of the guys actually spoke English and it was really intense and pretty frightening. Wasn't even one of the guy's mobile phones went off that I remembered what year I was in.

  • @leeham991

    Even -> until* sorry

  • Where was this event? I've been in the hobby for a year now doing infantry and am doing glider for D-day in conneaut Ohio and and am planning on doing airborne and need some events to do.

  • What Tactical is this, and will there be another one? Id like to look into maybe bringing my unit down to it.

  • farb he has a 4 riv hanguard in 6-44

  • Where did you get the M1 Carbine in Paratrooper Version?

  • @ferdockm where can you find these places with WWII reenactments it would be an honor for me to join once i go to the US in the future

  • @MajorLeaguelnfidel most of us are in the real army or Marine Corps. i would stick talking about what you know if i were you son.

  • GODAMNIT, that fatty follows me on every reenactment vid 0:18 ....

  • 1:54 Dude lost his lunch xD

  • @MajorLeaguelnfidel LOL!!!!

  • when you shoot someone, usally they die or fall. lol. get mowed down with a machine gun and fall forward. nice guns

  • So they wanted to capture some german CP? German Pedobear wasn't amused bout this, i gues

  • Go to atthefront

  • area looks like europe XD greetings from germany saxony

  • where did you get the gear? just the bags i got the rest

  • Where can you do WWII reenacting in SoCal?

I am a Civil War Reenactor, but I want to be a WWII reenactor now

  • What makes the man there with the cap? At 2:00.

  • @zionistboy First of all, I'm American and I'm also a very proud Jew and a Zionist.

The United States was not in WWII to "save the Jews;" we were in this war to defeat Nazi Germany.

There is a famous movie called "Saving Private Ryan" that partially revolves around a mother that has lost three of her four sons in The War

If Mrs. Ryan had felt that her sons had died because American resources were re-directed to save the Jews, all hell would have broken loose in this country and justifiably so

  • I have a friend that does the First World War; he and his buddies re-enact the 27th Division; they've done The History Channel. In fact, if you have the Theodore Roosevelt 2-DVD set, you can see them as they re-enact Teddy's funeral.

Also, please remember that in WWI the 82nd was an infantry division whose most famous member was Alvin Cullum York, the most decorated US WWI soldier.

  • Pretty cool, But not very professional...

  • @Jester2K11 who cares is is a nice video

  • HOW AND WHERE DO I DO THIS!? this seems so fun. I live in western NY and i play airsoft but this looks so much better...where do i get weapons/uniform?

  • are those blanks? what if you forget and accidentally leave real bullets in your gun lmao

  • WOW, typical hip firing band wagon of brothers

  • I want to get into this stuff so bad :/

  • hahahah that screaming german xD rofl

  • @zionistboy Well Holy Mt. Zion, Batman! It's a uninformed nim-rod!

  • 1:52 = WORST combat decision I have ever seen.

  • @Airborne488 "what price glory" has good prices and good gear, "at the front" is also a good site for repro gear.

  • it wasn't a game, you dicks!

  • For all of you who are fans-Play the Brothers In Arms PC game.

Its based on the 82nd and the 101st,ad based on a true story, and even has a level

where you fight on hill 30!

    Based on a true story!

  • at 0:54 does that guy have a MG 42?

  • @BobStormtooper Yes, captured.

  • @BobStormtooper that was an mg34

  • How do you decide if youve been hit if your firing blanks?

  • @Logan1988 it's on the honor system. Which usually means unless your target sees you, or a judge tells him, he won't take his hit!

  • @ferdockm Honor system eh? Personally, I'd follow it, but I bet a LOT don't, espeically the younger guys.

  • @ferdockm You guys should invest in those chalk rounds the military uses nowadays for training exercises

  • @ferdockm So is there a guy monitoring to see if you get hit?

  • @ferdockm sounds fun!! u Wanna do it!!!

  • Very nice uniforms. Thumbs up for Airborne !

  • As a So. Cal. 82nd WWII LHA member, this is a fun vid to watch. I wish we had event on this level. Camp Roberts is very cool, but is not a "European" setting, mor like N. Africa or Sicily.

  • Is this at Torrance?

  • @driftingfocus Yup. The next event is this November, 2010

  • how do the guns work?

  • @shawdowseaker They are real; blank adapted

  • is this in California? i want to start Reenacting .

  • @modeyman101 Nope, outside Pittsburgh, PA

  • @modeyman101 Nope, Johnstown, PA

  • where did u get the M1A1 carbine, we cant find any of those!!!

  • @153masterchief They are pretty common if you live in the USA.

  • @153masterchief They are pretty common if you live in the USA.

  • how are you supposed 2 kno if you got killed...whats the point of shooting blanks at eachother

  • @PATINHISWHITET

The point is to get as close and realistic to the real thing as possible

  • this would be cool if people were actually killed lol

  • @PATINHISWHITET

Cool? Yeah I'd like to see you say its cool when your guts and liver are pouring out onto the ground.

  • chalk one more up for the bandwagon of brotehrs. What does everyone have against straight leg infantry.

  • @phantom12321 I hear you. We only do 28th ID PANG now.

  • @ferdockm Cool, I do The Hampshire Regiment, His Majesty's Army. Where you lads out of?

  • @phantom12321 Friend, We are outside of Phialdelphia, PA. Where are you from?

  • @ferdockm We're based in and around Chicago.

  • how do you know when you are hit

  • i believe they plan it out and they go over it then when in action they can be "hit"( i dont mean they rehearse they just know according to the plan

  • i think it would be better if they used milsim rounds

  • @501joshb Unfortunately they can't use milsim rounds because, well, the name says it all. They are only available to military personnel.

  • @foist101 well milsim just means Military Simulation, Which is waht these guys are sorta doing, They can try to get them but probaly have to go through a lot of paper work

  • @501joshb I thought they were restricted to military for training and such (IE Special Ops Mission on Military Channel) but i could be wrong.

  • @foist101 I could also be wrong, but i dont see why Shells with less powder and paint in capsels can be only for the military but idk, the military is weird with what they allow civilians to use

  • hey, can anyone tell me how a tactical battle actually works? thanks

  • 1 thing i have always wanted to know, is do they use blanks rounds or paint rounds?

  • Blanks. These are real weapons, but fitted to shoot blanks.

  • i know there real weapons, just wanted to know if they shot blanks of paint rounds, thanks for answering, one more thing how do they know when they got shot, i have always wanted to know

  • Friend, Judges are there to help keep score, call kills, and keep things realistic.

  • where a how can i get in to this i have a friend who would be tickled pink to be invalved in this so would i he is majur russian fanatic i am more of german or japanese

  • Friend, It depends on where you live because it makes sense to contact someone locally.

  • @ferdockm Realistically there are no judges in war.

  • whos the guy at 158?

  • @goodstuffbunny its just a reenactment of the scene

  • @goodstuffbunny READ THE TITLE!!!!!!! reenactment! do u fking think in ww2 they had cameras like this that is a good quality picture with colour on!? ur a freaking idiot

  • @Tehbarrel he is a troll just calm down

  • Watch some WWII movies, or better yet, read a book (maybe one with pictures) and see for yourself whether it's too modern.

  • @goodstuffbunny ZOMFG LOL

  • @goodstuffbunny Wow do you really thing they would have these good of camera and sound in WWII? And why the hell would they film it, they would be worried about getting shot not filming something to put on youtube! The only cameras they had in WWII had super bad sound qualitly and were black and white!

  • @goodstuffbunny Dumb fuck, Its a REEMACTMENT!

  • no duh ice man

  • what is the guy doing a 1:58

  • @chanctc3 making sure everyone is being safe.

  • hey just wondering someone...did the airborne ever use jeep caps in combat if they lost their M1-C helmet or something lol?

  • They would put paper napkins on the heads, that way they could sop up the blood when they took a bullet to the brain.

  • whers this at?

  • Johnstown, PA

  • r they usin blanks?

  • no they are shooting at each other with real bullets

    lol

but to answer ur question yes

    =D

  • i think the end is funny

  • if i ever do a reenactment i wanna be the guy who goes psycho with a flamethrower(i dont know how you can use it in one but o well) then get my legs gunned off by a 42 then crawl back to friendly lines

  • haha yeah i dont know how the heck you could pull off a flamethrower blank lol but sounds awesome haha

  • fill it with paint or something?

  • Compressed air and water. We already have one.

  • how much would an m1 garand blank fireing rifle go for

    subscribe to me

  • alot man, alot

  • Garands are around $1000. Put a blank adapter on it for $20.

  • wat are they shooting?

  • blancs i think

  • how do u get in this

  • It seems that in this line of work, for every one person portraying an 82nd paratrooper there's about four 101st. Is this because of Saving Pvt Ryan, Band of Brothers, Brothers in Arms and its polarity etc?

  • This event is hosted by the 508th from the 82nd AB. The 101st guys are from the 501st. They are really outnumbered here 2:1 (i.e. for every 101st guy, there are 2 82nd AB guys). 82nd was the better unit anyway, right?? ;-)

  • Technically, because they had had a head start in combat experience in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.

  • the realism of the uniforms and the weapons is first class. however, it seems rather uneventful to use blanks. even though i have no idea how else you would do it and still keep the authentic ww2 weapons. maybe they could do it with live ammo and put it on pay per view. maybe? haha

  • Friend, "Uneventful" is not one of the adjectives we use to describe these tacticals. They are very intense. Night battles are nuts and early dawn raids can be dangerous and thrilling. Bored is not an option.

    Great comment.

  • i'm leaving today as a medic for the 82nd in a reenactment in satesvill N.C.

  • Is there any unit that gives all the equipment and shit to you??

I wanna do ww2 reenacting so bad, but Im' broke.

  • Yes, some reenactment units will lend you some equipment for a year or so.

  • what the hell was that bit at the end?

  • its a reenactment of post traumatic stress disorder ;)

  • Just a little insanity.

  • Ahh baby im gonna need some more ammo

  • lols? the last part?LOL

  • fat amis -.-

  • Ahh, but it's not scripted. You are given objectives and a time schedule. Whatever happens happens. Judges help determine who is "dead".

  • the US had the coolest uniforms of ww2

  • @quest8899 Haha :) German had the best uniforms, after them the british.

  • if this is all scripted how r u suppose to know if ur dead or not!???

  • You just decide if you die or not by your own judgement

  • their also paintballs... to tell if you've been hit or not

  • No.Blank firing is a whole different thing to paint ball, obviously, nothing comes out of blank guns.

  • oh yeah my bad,

sorry, im in canada, the ones that my uncles went to were paintball rifles, well WW2 gun models, with paintball ammo in them :P

  • @xXArsinityXx Can you tell me how you can put paint ball ammo in a real rifle? Or explain further what you mean. I am curious.

  • no just blanks you decide if you die but Some people are told to die at a part in the battle

  • Pretty Much

  • cool and does anyone use ranking in reenactments?

  • i just dskghdfkjhghgdfhga in my pants

  • Eih men, when you want do something like this call me. I love this things. It's very, very cool. 5 stars. ***** :D (sorry my english)

  • i remember brothers in arms road to hill 30. been so long since ive played that game. nice reenactment vid tho!

  • wow at the end I swear that guy sounded like a faggot Nazi(I know thats an oxymoron)

  • Stupid

  • Bub, These are real guns. Blanks can kill. So we don't f around with repros. Garands can be found everywhere. Be ready to spend $1g and you'll be all set.

  • how can blanks kill , nothing kums out of the gun

  • But dont you have to be kinda close for a blank to hurt you? Like the barrel towards the head?

  • Hey there, after viewing you video I have really started looking into the reenactment scene. I've always been intrigued by the Paratroopers during WWII and I already have all my gear set up. The only thing is I've been trying to find a weapon, I've looked into M1 Garands and the Thompsons, but all I can find is non firing replicas. Where can I find a WWII replica that will have a functioning clip so I can fire blanks? Thanks.

  • when u shoot blanks like this, how do u know if you're hit??!!

  • You don't you just have to guess and be honest.

  • nice reenactment 5/5 where did you get the stuff?

  • that looks like fun, where is this?

  • They are all bunched and firing with out even aiming!!! If you are going to have a paratrooper impression at least do it right!!! Also standing on the road with no perimeter defence! Cowboys!

  • what kind of bullets were those?blanks?

  • yup, they are all blank rounds...

  • Then how do you know if youre hit?

  • that's a good question

  • I guess u dont...

  • where can i find a m1 carbine wit extra magizines

  • why does this shit only happen in america? FUCKING WORLD!

  • @ 0:30, the left middle guy, that is the exact same combat uniform I want to own. Airborne chin strap, burlap-esque helmet camouflage, etc etc. American WWII paratroopers just look so bad ass. :P

  • Er, sorry I mean around 0:26

  • I know man the scrim is fuckin awesome,I want rigger pouches and a rigger modified jumpsuit. Its just those small things that make the impression great

  • lol they do..burlap makes the helmet look even more bad ass so id say im get that with mine too :P

  • exactly man!i want to own atleast one.bad ass it is

  • were do u get the uniforms?

  • you see em in ww2 magazines and the internet they cost about 20 euro and i saw 1 for 50 they are quite expensive

  • u can find them online or at surplus stores if u want to know te exact name of all the gear contact me

  • My Uncle was in 101st Airborne. In vietnam they were called the chicken men

  • Yeah, because in Vietnam, they did not have a word or definition for eagle, therefore they were called chicken men by the Vietcong and NVA.

  • aaah you watched the military channel

  • wow what a cowinsidince my uncle was to and his name was Jim Davis mayby our unvles new each other
