About 3 month ago I bought a 2002 XB9R with only 3000miles on clock. The fuel pump was making the same noise as yours but I thought it was normal. 2 month later the engine was cutting out, next thing i couldn't get it to even start. Garage said fuel pump is done. Waiting on a salvage one from the US, costs $850 new in UK :0! I think that all buell speed dials do the sweeping thing, mine does anyway. They are great bikes when they work. Did you get yours fixed up??
the speedometer problem i found out is just the speed sensor, which i can get a new one from a guy for less than $50. the fuel pump is still loud. maybe its an air thing. maybe the engine isnt breathing right.
Did you ever get this problem fixed? I'm looking at buying the same year and model bike...any recommendations?
