A real shame........I was thinking of the Canary this morning. I used to bring my Son there when he was just a little guy. We use to go and explore around the shipyards, and docks, and always stopped at the Canary for a cheeseburger and fries. I remember the first time he was able to sit on the bar stool and was able to reach his plate. I was going to make a special trip this Summer and surprise him, this is sad........I will watch to see if it reopens when the construction starts.

My understanding is that the building has been saved, but the Canary Diner (and signs) are gone. Total bummer. I will have to take a trip down there and update the story.

R.I.P. Canary. I sure hope we celebrate your resurrection if all goes well when the Don Lands Project is completed.
