@mikado1555 I'm really going to miss it. My son lives in T.C. and we only get to visit twice a year if we are lucky. We'll be up there in a few weeks and will probably go ride it one last time.
The train is kept outside during the running season (late May- early Sept) and we cover the stack and the sand dome to prevent water from getting inside. The bell, whistle and number plate are taken off and locked up each night to prevent someone from stealing them. During the off season, everything is kept in the city shops.
The city closed the zoo around 2006. The park is still open, they removed the buildings that were used for the zoo, and the train is still running very well.
I bought that whistle in 2006 and I have not seen ads for that company since early 2007.
My dad and I led the complete overhaul on her during the 04/05 winter which included new twin atomizers, new fire pan, new blast nozzle, new valves, new mechanical lubricator, rebuilt the running gear and put the axles in tram, and rebuilt the trucks on the cars
