  • someone finish this sentence.....im curious to hear your answers..." El Ten Eleven music is good music to listen to when you are.....??? "

  • everytime i listen to theses guys i wanna cruise on my longboard

  • One of the best bands I have ever listened too.

  • eargasm

  • Que genial! me encantan!

  • two of the most talented individuals i've ever seen

  • jesus christ.........talk about some fucking talent. AMAZING!

  • SLAPPING DA BASS

  • Comment removed

  • this song reminds me of a kid i know, his sister told him skinny jeans were cool, so he bought 8 pairs

  • never made loops look so cool

  • @3:03 "fuck it"

  • 2:02

    THAT...IS A FOOT

  • Can you play Eruption on bass :) ?

  • @MoonchildMindaugas2 eruption sounds like complete shit. nuff sed

  • @triviumfr3ak Not that I totally agree, but damn with a whole world of awesome guitarists there's finally someone who can play bass at least as much relevant and important as this.

  • They're making music and it sounds good. It's not to show off their technical skill. It's about the blending of sounds to create something coherent and beautiful. IT'S MUSIC. I feel they pull it off quite well.

  • man I want to jam with Kristian Dunn so bad!!!

  • I just discovered this band a few weeks ago, and I must say, they are fantastic. I listen to all 4 of their albums front to back and not one song disappoints. Just goes to show you: You don't need a vocalist at all to make great music.

  • how is he making the bass sound like a guitar starting around 1 minute in? is he using a pitch shifter effect pedal?

  • what looping can also be like: ;)

    youtube.com/watch?v=WhBoR_tgXCI

  • pick throw @3:03 n-ICE!

  • ...... i didnt know this was possible.

  • Yes they do ivypark! Im tellin everyone i can, this band hasta keep makin music!!

  • this the real drum and bass #LOL

  • the best homework music. no dumbasses blabbering about how much money they blow or some girls booty bouncing (although I do like bouncing booty)

  • the most talent he shows in this song is his triplet picking ability. DADG tuning and 4 loops. go watch a victor wooten video

  • @bukithd I like how the guy with a Breaking Benjamin and a Staind upload is trying to say this band isn't talented.

  • @bukithd or you know the talent of coming up with this stuff. So sick of kids assuming musical talent = technical skill.

Simple beautiful tune, get over yourself.

  • @bukithd DADA, actually.

  • @bukithd

Yeah but Victor Wooten is corny as hell. It is glorified elevator music. Dexterity doesn't equal something I would care to listen to, and if you have the inability to appreciate music in any terms other than a talent show, then that is sad.

  • @jonesattack eh entwhistle, jaco, geddy lee, marcus miller, flea, claypool, heck even the bassist from offspring, hes not talented but it sounds awesome. chris wolstenholme for example, one of the best bassists in recent years that has went relatively unnoticed even with hysteria being the most tabbed song. all im saying bout this video is that its no more that a few notes played at once then looped and then played over.

  • @bukithd

"its no more that a few notes played at once then looped and then played over." yeah.. I think it's called a pattern and almost every song have it. I just think you're missing the point here. it's not about tecnique. it's about how good this song is and how cool it is to see a guy making all those nice sounds without any sampling gimmick or playback. all of the bass players you mentioned are really good, but I really like seeing something fresh and new as this guys.

  • @bukithd This guy has a fuckin degree in music composition. I think he knows a thing or two about music and how to play. He knows what the song needs, and he lays it down like a pro. I bet if he wanted to play a solo it could rival anyones out there. Plus he is also fantastic at guitar.

  • i wish i had stuff like this on the radio where i live

  • am i the only person to think that they must have done nitrous at some point?

  • I can only dream of making such sounds on a bass....

  • No just the drummer is lefty

  • I hope my sister dosnt say el ten eleven is cool!:) such awesome music!!!

  • are they both lefties? lol

  • this reminds me of old modest mouse on super happy fun time crack

  • freaking awesome.

  • playing fretless bass well = getting laid on the reg

  • @guitarguy4991 I gotta say.... watching him play that thing does get me a little hot under the collar. And when he just tosses that pick away? Oh my....

  • omg

how on earth is he making those

sounds using a bass guitar !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They're so tight!

  • how does he make those high notes with the bass?

  • @coleworm61 Tap harmonics!

  • @pencildives no. octive pedal.

  • @tylerbrainerd Nup, you're wrong, he is tapping harmonic notes.

  • @pencildives hmm. on second thought, he does both at different times.

  • Makes you reconsider the genre of "Drum n' Bass" doesn't it?

  • @mobako reconsider? More like reclaim.

  • alright cool

  • Holy shit. Most talent i've ever seen.

  • thank god your sister says they're cool

  • Hey look, It's keanu reeves and elliott smith

  • @stealingophelia how did they find time to become such good musicians between their movie and mopy shit careers?

  • @tristicordX Don't talk shit on Elliott

  • @pencildives who gives a shit man

  • @tristicordX Nobody? You don't always have to be serious when posting comments on YouTube.

  • dear people who made this music

i want to sincerely thank your mother for allowing you to slide out of her birth canal. my ears feel better than average, infact, amazing!

  • this music is really awesome.

  • god i love this band so much. makes me happy. and when those hi hat ticks kick in it makes me wanna go skate so bad and just jump around. yes

  • Holy Cow!!!

  • @ingfaceable his wals been stolen :(

  • @leehamX3 no it has been returned.

  • Amazing

  • @javier61330, drum and bass

  • goddammit I need a fucking wal.

  • @ingfaceable his wals been stolen :(

  • apart from the awesome music, does anyone happen to know what kind of shoes the bassist/guitarist has on? they look comfy and i want some

  • Crazy how he just uses a bass for this song. I thought he used his double neck guitar... I never heard a bass sound quite like that.

  • @chiragk4 whammy pedal, it knocks whats going into the amp up by one octave or down by one, a lot of bassists use them for stuff like this.

  • wat kind of music is this

  • @javier61330 i might classify it as post-rock since that's such a broad genre but El Ten Eleven is unique by itself in its use of loops as a main component of the music.. I've never heard a band similar to them honestly.

  • does anyone knows where can I get this song ??

  • Just saw these guys last night... their live performance sounds just like their recordings. Really good show cause they both get really into it

  • Cant wait to see them at the Kong Fu Necktie in Philly in April. Minds will be blown

  • @Rickypooh89 Agreed!

  • why didn't i know about this music earlier? amazing.

  • seeing them at the middle east next month woop!!

  • Comment removed

  • It Sounds more like your Sister meant U2!

  • That is epic! O.O Sweet octave pedal :o!

  • @Fun4est I'm epic

  • are amazing.

    love their music.

  • such great artists

  • SUch a great song! i love it so much!

  • Can anyone help me and explain me how does he get that sound out of the bass??? not talking about the loops... Thanks

  • Octave pedals and Harmonics

  • he can change the octaves

  • Yea, like they said, probably octave pedal.

  • @sunnyday19791979 from what ive seen, he uses some octave pedal, but i see the digitech whammy, which comes into play i think more when hes doing stuff with a guitar. the line 6 delay modeler. i think i saw a ibanez tube screamer. in the interview from this performance i think they say something like 11 pedals all together. something i think i figured out is that hes not putting both loop pedals at the very end of his pedal chain. maybe to make the sounds very different?

  • all their equipment is listed on their actual site.

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • amazing title.

  • 3:04 is magic

  • what music is supposed to sound like

  • you like the sound of boss pedals?

  • Like El Ten Eleven, and they are the best duet EVER !

  • @JmufucknM good one ;)

  • esa rola es una megaa mamada

  • ratatat's inspiration deserves some more credit

  • No doubt man.

  • ratatat have been around longer and I would argue el ten eleven have been inspired by them more as of late.

Their last album was a lot dancier and definitely reflected the work of people that had heard classics by R@3. Both bands are pretty incredible though.

  • What the hell is that sound he is using with the bass??? and later with the guitar??????? sounds like something with a delay.. if anyone can help

  • Looks like an octave pedal, with a little reverb

  • Comment removed

  • That was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.

  • they come to philly in NOVEMBER i cant wait!!

  • The magic happens at 3:03!

  • puta amo esta rola!!!!

  • I like when he throws his pick

  • fucking beautiful

  • these guys are fantastic i love pretty much everything they do. and they are perfect for smoking tooo...

  • I listened to My Only Swerving all the time when I smoked for a month. So listening to the song kinda reminds me of it.

  • @exeyece My Only Swerving is one chill ass song. Either to smoke weed to or just to sit and relax and have a drink...I can't stop listening to that song.

  • so much of what I thought was played on guitar he's doing on bass... maybe that instrument is worth something after all :P

  • Very Fantastic!!

  • holey fuck harmonix
