Johnny first came onto the musical scene when I was a junior or senior in high school with "Misty," about 1960 or 1961.
Every song he recorded for years was the epitome of romance and 'must have' in your collection or on (Reel to Reel) tape, especially in college. He was the background to many memorable evenings.
I just discovered this when I was listening to the Four Freshmen; JM seems to pop up everywhere, he must have sung every song ever written. Love him to death...he is priceless. Love JM's version bestest of alllll. Thank you so much for posting this jewel. God bless
I lived on songs like this, by Johnny Mathis, when I had my typing service. I could have gotten the work done sooner, if I hadn't stopped to play some like this over and over, but I couldn't type, without it!
Thanks for posting this song. It is woderful as is the man who sings it. Johnny Mathis at his craft and a wonderful man. It is nice to see so many johnny fans. : )
Oh, no, nothing sung by Johnny Mathis is a forgotten by me but thanks for your wonderful posting, maybe someone with music taste will find the joy of hearing the Master sing real music.
I wouldn't be surprised is there was some sort of Johnny Mathis resurgence. I mean he's still popular among certain generations, but new ones could discover him and suddenly he's making the rounds again.
Like an angels voice....magical.

Herb Jeffries owns this song. johnny does his usual smooth as silk notes, but and here is the but; he sounds like a flute
calling not a lover yearning for his object of love.
