  • i like how they shoot one at a time with the m249s

  • Love that 50 cal!

  • You go guys!

    US Armed Forces!

  • 0:31 is that the L86?

  • @A7Xskater100 I do believe that's a 249, I don't think the U.S. uses L86s, I may be wrong though.

  • US forces have fired 250,000 bullets for every rebel killed in Afghanistan. Cowboys.

  • @TomBarry192I Money well spent.

  • @retsaoter The ratio is 250,000 : 1 kill.

  • @TomBarry192I Yes, I know how to read. Your original comment was clear. Ammunition is cheap, Soldiers are not.

  • @retsaoter It would have been better spent on slotting IRA and irish nationalist vermin

  • The kids right... there used to be flashes but the U.S Military just recently got new guns from their suppliers with internal muzzle compensators. got rid of the flash. If i remember correctly that happened sometime last year

  • nice song =]

  • I love the sound of that 50.cal and M240

  • This is great, first hand US army!

cool how that NonCom's bullets are delaid when they hit the dirt

  • Tax payers money

  • is orange tipped tracer or incendiary?

  • I know that at one time Ramadi was considered one of the most dangerous places in Iraq. What is it like now?

  • What was up with the orange tipped rounds? Tracers possibly?

  • U.S. troops are brave heros! U.S. troops are the bravest and greatest men in the world!

  • Actually, its called a flash suppressor, its on the tip of the rifle, the explosion does happen in the chamber but by the time it gets to the end of the barrel the flash suppressor dissipates the smoke outward so it wont cause a smoke screen in the line of sight. YEP NOT A VIDEO GAME.

  • Why isnt there flash coming out of the guns?

  • @Sevival Because it's not a video game or hollywood movie.

  • @RamadiTV hmm but i think its pretty logical that with an explosion comes a flash

  • @Sevival The explosion happens in the chamber, stop playing video games kid.

  • @RamadiTV Hey-I own 2 of these and one has a flash hider and one doesnt-the hider more or less just disperses the flame into a starburst pattern and my colt straight throws a massive fireball-Next time I go shooting-I'll try to post a video response...thats why there are these things called flash hiders-

  • @RamadiTV it also depends on the gun, rate of fire, and the bullet.

  • @Sevival because of the daylight-as soon as the sun begins to set you can see a wickid fireball come on-in pitch darkness its quite a spectacle! Most of the milspec m16's and m249 saw's have flash hiders to "try" to hide the flash as much as possible....

  • @Sevival If they were shooting at night there would definitely be a visible flash from the barrel. During the day the light drowns it out.

  • @Sevival It happens at night, and when it does and it will;do not look directly at the light, the reason being you will be temporarily blinded by the flash or in other cases ignorance.

  • @Sevival

the simple answer is its the gunpowder ,the more involved answer its called mussle flash ,which will give you away in a low light environment

  • @Sevival its not like on the video games

  • @Sevival its not like on the video games

when the enemy is facing the wrath of the 50 cal ,they're really not thinking ..."jee why is'nt there a musle flash?"

  • @Sevival 1:15 , there's your muzzle flash

  • @Sevival What our less forgiving friend is trying to say is that the weapon, like almost all modern assault rifles, has a flash suppressor. Its main purpose is to keep the shooter from self-blinding while firing at night, and it all but eliminates a visible daylight muzzle flash and you can only see a very small amount of light at night.

  • This is the first vid where I've seen Marines and Army guys hanging out lol. Stay safe guys I have huge respect for you! I plan on joining the Marines or Army after high school.

  • Sounds like Talkn M240s lol.

  • anyone know what music is in the background? cheers.

  • "Let Me Drown"

    by Soundgarden

    From the Album Superunknown

  • ah man... the good ol ramadi days:) the standard issue by the way for a Marine/Soldier back then was either an M16A2 or A4, now we get the A4 or and M4 with collapsable buttstock, ACOG and laser sights. Afghanistan sure was good to me.

  • isn't H&K possibly making the new rifle for the army? i heard something about that.

  • There was talk of special forces accepting their HK416 design but now it looks like FN will be getting the contract with their SCAR design. Right now the SCAR is being field tested by the 75th Rangers in Afghanistan.

  • im pretty sure some Marines use the m4 also

  • uh ya

  • lol bottle 500 years away

  • Nah, All US Armed forces branches are issued an M16A4 for the standard rifleman.

  • why is the m16 or m4 the us army main weapon?

  • i loved this range.... no brass detail!!! yay!!

  • i heard the u.s military is going to start using the Magpul ACR

  • Soldiers generally win battles; generals get credit for them

  • THIS MAKE ME WANNA GO 2 IRAQ

  • I promise you, it's not that cool.

  • Seriously dude, think about the other stuff besides this. Most people are scared shitless most of the time.

  • if you just wanna shoot fancy guns go to a shooting range...trust me, my dad nearly got blown up cause the stupid iraqi's took the same route 2 times in 2 days and the terrorists had set an IED in it.

  • OORAH

  • I love Soundgarden

  • SSG Dobbs is......uuuhhhhh....HOOAH!

We'll just leave it at that. =)

  • lol he was in Lazy Ramadi

  • OOH BABY! I know, that was the first one I saw with him in it. lol

  • RamadiTV is the best. Hooah!

  • I like how they used the M249 as double team

  • I like them guns

  • GET THOSE CREW SERVED WEAPONS TALKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRE SUPERIORITY... GRAZING FIRE< AND KEEP YOUR BELT OUT OF THE FRICKIN DIRT!!!!!!!!!

Also US Army is currenlty getting rid of all m16 a2 rifles, and alot of the m16a4's. some a4s will be used as SDM rifles, ( squad/platoon sniper) weapons with the m14. Army is currenlty teseting new rifles for field testing in late 2010/early 2011 GO HK 416!!!!!

  • looks fun but so much tax payers cash goes to wasted rounds

  • :'(

  • if they didn't have the practice then a lot more money would be wasted training new troops to replace the ones that couldn't shoot a few extra rounds to familiarize themselves to their weapons!

  • i would love to mount that .50

  • I wonder if SSG Dobbs is the same guy from Lazy Ramadi

  • yeah it is

  • Nice shootin fellas. XD

  • I saw the M16 and M2 had to be cocked halfway through firing, jams?

  • Just discovered that these are the same guys from Laffy Taffy Dance Party. I'm impressed...they can dance AND they can shoot...LOL! Thanks, guys.

  • dont the marines use the m4 and the army the m16?

  • both services still use both. Typically rear echelon folks (admin/H+S) have m16s, but you'll see them peppered here and there on the line.

  • Other way around, usually. The Army is supposedly getting rid of the rest of their M-16s, and replacing all of them with M-4s. The Marine's, as far as I know, will be using a combination of M-16s and M-4s.

  • nice shooting.. what m16s do they use most in now cuz i know theres an a4 and ur using an a2

  • Nice Weapons Awesome Vid

    like the M4 beautiful Weapon

  • It's called TARGET PRACTICE...

  • nice

  • Thought the M16A2 was being phased out by the A4?

  • The A2 probably will be phased out by the A4, but we are sitting on 10's of thousands of A2's and it would take a while to phase them out. I went through basic training in 1993 and at basic we used the M16A1 from Vietnam. In fact my first infantry unit also issued me a M16A1 when I got out of basic. These things take time.

  • It's interesting to see the differences in the services. I went through Marine bootcamp in '94. We had M16A2s. Had them when we got out to the fleet, and occasionally would run across an M4 (ar15) here and there. But, I had met soldiers (often guard and reservists) who still had M16A1's through till about 2000. The Air National Guard is kit converting their A1's to A2 standard. Just so many of those old rifles out there!

  • @RamadiTV when my dad was in the korean military back in the 70s, they trained with garands.

  • awesome video guys

  • I just love my M-4. Nice shooting by the way. Hooah!!!

  • i dought that you will read this but could you tell me if you know micheal brandon everet cause ge is my cousin but i think that he was in bhagdad anyway he loved his friends m249 sayed it was great

  • ur not suppose to lean back when you shoot :P

excellent vid and thanks for your service

  • Actually when you fire from the shoulder you have to lean back a bit to counter balance the weapon. The weight of the weapon wants to pull you forward. Go to the gym and pick up a straight curl bar (should weigh about 15lbs to 20lbs) and hold it to your shoulder and you will see what I mean. Thanks for watching!

  • i like shooting in the prone possition better then shooting standing up because when you're standing you're like "Damn i missed, damn i missed." but when you're in prone you're more steady and you're like "Hey i got it!"

  • Was that a jam in 0:46? Man that shit would be deadly if it happened in a real fire fight.

  • hey .. it was.. but it wasnt a bad jam. it took him ... about a second to fix it. in that time the haaji wuld have been blown away by then.. but true .. but keep in mind.. us soldiers r trained professionals.. we know how to kill even if our weapon jams... HOOAH glad u guys r home as for me n my unit.. were headin out.. HOOAH

  • Yeah I know it could be fixed but like thats still bad yo. What if it was like one of those split second moments where its you shoot him or he shoots you and your gun jammed. I mean its good he fixed it that quick but a gun jamming to me is very unacceptable.

  • very true.. trust me if anyone hates jammed weapons i do.. but keep in mind its the m16a2 but.. very true all we do to fight it and prevent it is.. maintenance and cleaning.. tons of cleaning the weapon gotta love that carbon build up

  • Yeah, scary stuff though. I mean when it comes down to it all it takes it 1 bullet to drop you. I really respect you guys for having the balls to look death in the eye and say "Hoorah!"

Hope to be one of you in a couple of years.

  • nice to see soldiers and Marines working together.

    God bless you guys!

  • i have a question for you guys if i get Perfect accuracy on BCT does that mean i get an M4A1 with an ACOGx4 scope? because i am an excellent shot when it comes to my M24 Sniper System and when it comes to the windage and range ajustments im always on the mark so far out of 120 shots fired with my M24 ive hit 119

the last 1 i shot i did when i was sick so i completely missed it. OH and my M9 Baretta when it comes to 100 yards im a crack shot. give me a moving target and consider it history.Video

  • No, if you get perfect accuracy on BCT, you get qualified for Sniper School, or if you're still gonna be a rifleman, you just get whatever is issued to you. SF is a different matter. :)

  • That is badass!

  • Hey, Just heard about the blast in your area. Hope everyone is ok. stay safe.

    msj variety

  • M16A2? I thought the military replaced all of those with the M4A1's. Am I wrong?

  • There are still a lot of M16's out there. But then our BCT of 4000 soldiers were all National Guard. I think we only had 10 M4's in our company of 120 soldiers. Over 50% of the TOTAL force in Iraq is ANG, why would you want to give them the newest weapons? Also we are just signal pogs.

  • yea like the SSGs im a freak when it comes to guns. hey SSG Fritcion is it true that the most seasoned soldiers are gonna get lonewolf weapons with all the gear like a camera on the weapon, camera feed to a visor with a facemask to protect from gas,and water and lots of ammo??

  • ur kidding right.. that kind of weaponry hasnt even passed yet to be on the battlefield.. stick to your ghost recon games kid.. this is the real stuff

  • : )

  • Oh yeah!!! Now that's what I call target practice!! Great video! God bless you guys and stay safe.

  • Damn i cant wait bout 2 more months BCT 11B

  • "specialjg123" - I spent some time working in Australia and one of my best friends is a Kiwi. For those of you who don't know the term "Sepo", it comes from "Yank" or "Yankee". Yank rhymes with Tank, then think Septic Tank and then shorten the Septic to "Sepo".

  • "Specialjg123" seems a bit angry to me. As far as uneducated, I (SSG Wright) have a Masters in Science & SSG Dobbs just left his teaching position at a University to run a cardiac rehab program for the largest hospital in the state. Dobbs is also about a year away from his doctorate.

It's funny that anyone would think everyone in the military blindly supports the president. Remember both Bush elections were highly controversial with the voting public being split 50/50.

  • dumb question: are the m249's being fired one after another for a reason? Also what are your MOS's?

  • Yes, it's a suppressive fire technique. Two or more weapons "talking" (firing one after the other), sounds like continuous fire to the target, keeping their heads down. This should allow your other elements to flank and take out your target. The short burst of fire also helps with your aim and keeps the weapon from overheating too quickly.

11B (infantry) six years, 31R/25Q (signal) seven years

  • Thanks for the reply. That is a very interesting technique.

  • ARe you guys still stationed in ramadi, or you home now?

  • I SO love you guys. be safe. come home soon.

  • If you have a problem with our troops feal free to stand in front of them, cmon lets see if you got the balls to do that

  • oooo. sounds like you best declair war on me. ha ha ha ha. Me & bin Laden better watch out aye? hahahaha

  • You're an idiot. Now go away and stop talking about things your brain can't grasp because it's too small.

  • yes im totally declaring war on you,

wat a retard, when did you ever see the words i declare war on you?? i just want to see if you got the balls to stand in front of our troops and say wat you said to there faces, which i doubt you do

  • awesome job guys
