It's more of a vehicle for him to showcase playing for playing's sake. but makes me wonder, too, just how many drugs the band ingested at an average concert.
While I wish I could play at that speed, he seems sloppy and wanky, playing a billion notes and not really saying anything. That solo didn't really go anywhere, it was just him playing really fast for a while. Impressive but boring and ill-conceived as far as being "part of the song" instead of blatant self-indulgence.
Oh well, everyone was coked up and having a good time anyway.
