@shinglesofzeflute ok, so the first mature thing in my life was a decision to listen to Ludovico Einaudi's music every minute, every hour and every day of my life...
I love how this music stimulates my brain in the best way. It fills my head with joy and positive thoughts which are sometimes hard to come by these days with everything that goes on. Ludovico Einaudi is a priceless gift and incredible composer. Thanks for the smiles :)
I wouldnt say It makes you more mature, but maybe more caring in life, caring about the world, the nature and about relationships. I would say that people who listen to this have overall higher norms and values. I am a 19 year old guy, and I must say, this kind of music made me think about so much more in life, and not about only partying and trying to get laid like so many guys on my age are trying to. It made me think of my future, over how beautiful nature can be,
-- and over how more beautiful it could have been which I think is a shame, when I always see these colorful photos of old fashioned cities and night skies with 3 moons and beautiful colors. It made me kind of a romantic, haha. But wether this music makes you mature or not, you wont find any brain dead person who has an agressive character and with no ambition listening to this music.
@Carlos848 How do you know? All I'm saying is that you can't make that assumption about people, especially ones that you don't know. Did you know that Stalin listened to Mozart?
@genericallyaccepted I am not saying that 'evil people' do not listen to this music, more that people listen to this music are in general more, lets say, suffisticated, civilized, and with ambition, even though this ambitions can be barbaric. I am not saying that this is listened by the good people, and not by the bad, but I think you will find not many like i said emptyheaded and dumber persons listening to it, and I believe Stalin wasnt, even though his ideas were completely mental.
@genericallyaccepted And more over, I am stating an assumption, a likelihood, not a requirement. Like saying that to be a good basketballplayer should at least be 6 feet 3 inch to become a NBA player. It is not a necessary, but it is "generallyaccepted" that it would help you a lot :)
@Carlos848 Everyone knows that in order to be a good NBA player, you hafta be 6'6", just like Michael and Kobe :) Simply the two best, ever!!! In my opinion, of course ;)
I love Ludovico's music alot; i have been brought up with it. Though some of the people commenting on her are a little close minded don't you think? Why cant one like a variation in styles of music? I think that anyone can become a "good person" through listening to music they choose to love. Furthermore who are we to determine who is a good person in life? Or what good music is.
@mybdayisoct1 You are indeed correct. Just because this isn't a "mainstream" artist does not mean that by listening to it means you will become something special in life. The mere fact that they felt the need to make such a comment puts them in level that they are ashamed to be in. It's like portraying, is it not?
....e quando passa eternità per la strada stelata, una eternità desserta. Forse,di nuovo nel bacio riconoscero la bocha che una volta ho baciato.......................D.C.
if you love einaudi, you might like my latest composition, "la Force et la Faiblesse". Just click my username below. I hope my piece moves you in some way
Ah Ludovico Einaudi... He is the one that with his music lets you feel exactly what u want to feel and understand exactly what u want to understand in that moment.
People who listen to Ludovico Einaudi, I find, tend to become more mature in life. There is some interesting correlation between listening to good music and being a good person which I can't explain, but it just happens.
That may just mean that people who you tend to meet don't listen to Einaudi. As for me, music is my passion, and I tend to befriend other musicians, which at least 40% of them have listened to Einaudi's divine works at least once. Obviously, not all of us exist in the same environments, which is why you may not have met any of Einaudi's followers. However, we, as music-lovers, have eachother. :)
@shinglesofzeflute First off, my intention is not to attack or offend you, but my first reaction to your comment is that you sounded a bit closed minded. I'm a '60's kid who grew up with some amazing music, Rock. And aside from Mr. Einaudi, that is MY good music. And I'm a VERY good person. I think the word "Good" cannot apply here. Maybe people you meet are a bit more refined but that makes than no better than anyone else and what constitutes "Good" music is in the ear of the beholder!
I can respect your own preferences on music, I'm just stating my own observations in my own community. I have nothing against most music before rap before Justin Bieber. I'm not saying that there aren't good people outside of Einaudi listeners. In fact, I've met a number of great people who don't have a clue who Einaudi is. Again, what I said was just based off of observations. It's just in my community, the more settled people are those who listen to Einaudi. :)
@shinglesofzeflute I appreciate various music types but I always find myself coming back to Ludovico's I find peace and comfort, his music is truly beautiful..I do agree with you.
@shinglesofzeflute It's because people who listen to good, pure music tend to develop a pure mindset and real emotions and go on to do great things. People who listen to the "music" on the raido now tend to develop a mindset dedicated to "swag" and "gettin' money" and go on to become the scum of society that deal out drugs and fill up our jail cells. As stereotypical as it sounds, it is the truth.
To those who have found the true value in music, hats off to you. Long live REAL music <3
@TechnoMaster4 "Good, pure music" according to who? Do you even read what you write? You are the element in which disgusts you the most. It must be sad to live as you.
@genericallyaccepted To reply to EVERYTHING that has gone one since I was last on YouTube, yes I read what I write and I usually don't post a comment unless I mean what I say. Since I dont focus on becoming the scum of society, I don't think am the element I hate most. Yes, music cannot really be judged, but its as shinglesofzeflute said, it's based on the observations we have made based on the community. The people who listen to rap and Bieber are the idiots and the obnoxious. It's the truth...
@TechnoMaster4 Just because you don't focus on it does not keep you safe from becoming what you hate. Today's rap, rock, pop and pretty much everything else is pretty atrocious, we are listening to an age of marketing, but there are still some good music out there. I guess we just hafta look harder. Besides the not being able to judge music, someone can listen to both this and that at.
You're an inspiration. :) You're the first person I've come across who's provided such valuable insight on the topic, alongside the brilliant way you think. :D
@shinglesofzeflute Thank you :) I'm glad this apparent "disgusting element" is an inspiration to you! Regardless of how people think and contradict to my point, I know it to be true for I have lived along side it for too long. I don't see an end to it soon either! As far as my way of thinking, I think about things ALOT. I'm a thinker :) Now for talk of inspiration, Ludovico has inspired me to write a song for my girlfriend of 2 months! No idea where to start though. It will be a long project xD
I can really see that you frequently think. :) It's a very nice element of who you are.
And, composing, you say? I've composed songs for school projects and for friends before. It's not easy, but if you know what you're writing about, you just have to concentrate on that idea. Interpret the melody which comes from this very thought, and make it your own. :)
Just a bit of advice. I wish you good luck, as a fellow musician. :D
@shinglesofzeflute I also find them to be extremely conceited and narcissistic while having no humility or act of being humble. So while they may reach maturity quicker in life, their level of maturity is on a much lower level than those who experience the extremities of life.
The value of life can be measured by how many times your soul has been deeply stirred ~ Soichiro Honda
Evidently, we live in different worlds. Welcome to my world, where the people I refer to are mature on the highest level within our community. They have the most civic virtue, and would never turn their back on anybody. Oh, and, as for the brilliant quote you provided, that holds true, because all of us are in Marching band, in which a vast majority of us learned how to value life (Because several of us had been emotionally damaged prior to discovering to beautiful music).
@shinglesofzeflute Those are some high qualities you have listed; you still believe that there's a relation between those people and people who listen to Ludovico Einaudi? What about those who listen to Ludovico Einaudi and Reel Big Fish? A great ska band!!! And Harvey Danger? You can't use this as a noteworthy stat of judging people. Welcome to the real world.
@shinglesofzeflute Well, I try to do my best, but yes, I hold good character and integrity high in the scale of values when pursuing personal and spiritual growth :)
@gravesofqueens Who cares? He could very well have been a mature person. Just because you're a crazy loon or an anti-social (not to be confused with asocial) killer doesn't mean that you're not mature, it means that there is something wrong physically, chemically and/or developmentally.
I think we connect a bit there. See, I can act extremely stupid sometimes, but the reality is that I learn and make my self better from those experiences. And, being mature has nothing to do with being serious all the time, it just means taking things as they are and not letting them get to one's head. That's kind of what I am like, and perhaps you are too - I don't know. Just me typing on a keyboard. XD
