@MrEddiefierros21 Once yu got 40 chained on any pokemon u dnt have to go into any patches unless it`s a rare patch which contains yr shiny poke. Because the max the pokeradar can give u is when u got 40 chains which has a chance of 1/208 about there though... don`t go any unnessary risk

I have some bad luck at the chains. One time it broke at 39 -.- one time at 35 and so many times at 34 and 28 or higher xD. One of these days I got a shiny shinx, and I never surrended but if you reach 40 chain, don't go farther, only wait a shiny parch appear

My chains just don't work. The highest I've ever got was 32 Shinx on route 202 (I think) and then a Bidoof turned up in a patch of grass that looked like it was safe. Electrike is my swarm today and I really want a shiny one but the chain keeps breaking at around 10 or so. I think I'm following the guides properly. What do you think I'm doing wrong? It's a big waste of time and it's really getting me annoyed now!

I just recently got 39 Luxio chained....and then the chain broke. Didn't run out of the grass(wasn't even near the edge of it), didn't run into a wrong pokemon...it just broke. For no reason. AT ALL. *was so pissed she nearly broke her DS*

Can someone help me with this I chained shinx to 40 then kept reseting the pokeradar about 25 times and I never found a shiny patch then my chain randomly broke how long does it take to see that shiny patch after the chain is at 40

@justinbc1023 When you get your chain to 40 there is an approximate chance of 1/200 of a shiny patch occurring. Just keep resetting and you'll get there :]

Yes, I use max repels (to last longer and not have to go to the menu so often). You have to use repels when chaining or your chain will break.

Because Abra has Synchronize ability. They make a Pokemon with Synchronize having the same nature to a wild Pokemon.

Try searching around Youtube and Google, they have so many strategies these days that it's not hard to find one. There's even a video in the "related videos" side bar that explains it. :)

keep trying, if it helps, put a pokemon with the "static" ability first in your team to help find shinx easier, and use "storm drain" to help find buizel better.

Well, in theory you CAN get a shiny, but it's going to take HOURS of resetting unless chance is on your side. Your best bet is to get to 40 then reset. It should only take a little while. :)

Good luck with it, but 20 is hardly enough to get a shiny in a reasonable time. You'll get the hang of it the more you do it. :)

Can the chain break when you're resetting the radar too often?

The chain will sometimes break with NO reason when you get "The grass remained silent" or something like that... It will also break if you run out of the area you're supposed to be in, so be careful!
