  • I adore this song. It is ironic how this song foreshadows such a tragedy. Love you Yoko!

  • ☼ Donec ♫ αγάπη ♥ स्वतंत्रता ∞

  • All you people who think Yoko is talented are right.... She's a great artist.... music however, is not her gift!

  • the most tragically ironic song in the history of popular music.

  • I have little against Yoko. There are a couple of things that really aggravated me that she did, however I still have a degree of respect for her. People always put Yoko down in terms of her artistic ability, but, there are a few songs on Double Fantasy that are truly amazing and beautiful that she does, when you think about it. This particular song, is almost equal to something Lennon would write! To most that would be a shocker! However, I think it's true.

  • I can't stand Yoko Ono's music, but this is one song she's done that I absolutely adore. Maybe because it's got a "Young Americans" era Bowie vibe to it?

  • Los musicos son los mismos en todo el lp. El sonido y la producción idem. Suena bien, pero los tiempos dificiles no over.

  • my favorite song from that album

  • Very lucky woman, I have nothing against her....just wish John was here!

  • P.S. Whoever put this video together, nice job. The transition style you chose for the slides is perfect. The whole thing was very touching.

  • I'm sure Yoko wrote most of this song. But there's one bit that just sounds so John: "The leaves are shining in the sun."

It's really sad that John and Yoko didn't get to collaborate more on songs. Many of Yoko's songs that John helped produce (or whatever he did) are awesome.

  • The best Yoko's song.

  • I'm not a Yoko hater by any means, but this song sounds so much like a "John song" that I have a "hard time" believing Yoko wrote it by herself. I think he helped her greatly with it and just credited it to her in the end.

  • @AmericanThriftMedia I would think Yoko came up with the tune, and John helped form it together.

  • I'm not a Yoko hater by any means, but this song sounds so much like a "John song" I have a hard time (no pun intended) believing that Yoko wrote this by herself. I think he helped her greatly on it, but in the end the song credit only says "Yoko Ono."

  • Few couples have shared the love Yoko and John shared

  • This is a very beautiful song but it is very sad considering the circumstances.

  • ummm yuck at 00:50

  • oh, the sad irony...

  • @MANofBernstein yes, just thinking the same.

  • I don't usually like Yoko's caterwauling, but this is a good tune

  • YOKO we love you....... You are such a beautiful and strong person.

  • So beautiful, but I remember at the time how ironic what was to be. : (

  • Awesome tune.On vinyl ,its the first song on side two I do believe. I think Yoko is real cool, more so than Sharron Osbourne!!

  • Lovely song. Yoko is the greatest.

  • One of my FAVORITE song~!!!!

YOKO you are AMAZING~!!!!! John has a great taste no surprise ~!!!! Simply extraordinary couple ~!!!! WE LOVE YOU YOKO!

  • 泣けますね・・・

  • Yoko Ono is an incredible woman. She did so much for John. I lovethem both dearly. So amazing, both of them are!

  • Sorry John, love yah bro, but Yoko's voice sounds like someone stepped on a Cats tail.

  • I disagree, i think she sings ver good, i have a version of across the universe with Yoko singing the chorus and it's the best version of that song that i know, you can go to my channel and look for Across the universe.

  • You are the minority, she is terrible.

One reason Sean is terrible, too much of his Mother in him.

Julian is 10000000 times better than both.

  • And what are you doing here in the video of a song sung by Yoko Ono insuting her, his son, and calling John bro? Are you serious, you're a hypocrit

  • I love you so much for putting up all of these videos. You are the best!

  • Beautiful song

  • This song was recorded 10 years before my brith on the day, wicked coincidence :o

  • A totaly stunning song ...! 5*'s for posting this!

  • As John said, Its the worlds first Japanese Gospel Song!

I also love Mrs Lennon from 71 and Walking On Thin Ice which they were mixing on Dec 8th.

  • Great song, but still so difficult to hear after what had happened so many years ago. Still leaves you asking yourself...why...?

  • is John singing in the background?

  • yes. Not unusual in the last years of his career, he and yoko recorded everything together :)

  • It's realy beautiful!

I love Yoko and her music!

    She great woman!

  • This is a beautiful song, It has really nice lyrics and sound. I think its one of Yoko's best.

    Peace

  • Such a fantastic song but so sad.

  • :-(

  • A beautiful song which is, of course, somewhat marred by irony after December 8, 1980.

  • The last song on Double Fantasy. John should not hae been so naive to walk around without protection. But thats in the past.
