  • Good old early 90s & good old SNES.

  • this needs to be released for ads

  • @Zac6230 3ds

  • Dbz copied this

  • @Aw3somef1lms you make it sound bad :)

  • can you change the camera so that it's centered?? I hate running into enemies I can't see.

  • This game is packed with many wonderful scores of music. So magical, that it will change you 4 ever!!! one of my favorite song is the one in the ice palace!!!

  • ive always wanted this game so much, i got SOE but now i need this badly

  • i love the music in this game

  • I like the animations

  • This game is so EPIC! Everytime I think of my childhood this game automatically pops in my head.

  • SOM 2 (Seiken Desentsu 3) was a bit of a let down for me considering how huge #1 was to me. I still play it to this day because 2 had a different combat system in addition to a better dash mechanic. They should of tried making the ring menu's real-time as oppose to bottlenecking the other players Game, that would of been an interesting new touch.

  • Dang I terribly miss this game. I hope there would be a movie of this game someday :P

  • The game looks quite good but the place of the batles seem faggot land

  • favorite game me an my cousin played it when we was kids

  • yes, this game is also such a deep part of who i am because video games are directly linked to my psyche, wtf....

  • 4:17 this is my favourite piece of music in videogame history. Genuinely makes me tear up with happiness :)

  • @Zombiefied68 it makes a very beautiful atmosphere to the place

  • tat one scene were tey fly at 1:51 kinda reminds me of demons crest, lol (my g & h key are broken and im sick of copyin and pastin tem so sorry for te spellin)

  • this remembers me chrono trigger

  • This was the first good Co op RPG game ever.

  • what a great game, i was obsessed as kid with this..

  • whats the music called at 1:50 when your flying around, is it available to get hold of?

  • @tecnique000 The track is called "Prophecy" and it's part of the soundtrack. I'm sure you'll find it on YouTube as well. Great song, one of my favorites of SoM. :)

  • Hello Everyone, I have a question about this game, How get i 1000,000 Money in this game?? plz???

  • @moesie3 Whack lots & lots of rabbites? :3

  • @ThrobnWood what??

  • @moesie3 Good god man, there's no time for questions! Get whacking 0_o

  • @ThrobnWood What the fuck is ur probleme man !!? :@

  • Quick question: Was the screen stretched, or is the game that wide by nature?

  • Using a cannon as transport....right (lol)

  • I love how you show off the Ice Palace :D

  • 3:20 - I never played this game before... but that music... I love it. I feel the urge of making a remastered version of it. What's its original title? Anyone mind telling me?

  • @SFaPiL2 yeah man, :P

  • It is well worth it to keep your old console systems and the games for them. Especially the games that you see vids for here on Youtube like Secret of Mana. I still have my SNES and my copy of Secret of Mana. ^^ I even I have my NES. If you can believe it.

  • @0:28 Thats A LOT of GP you have!

  • I think SNES gave us the golden age of RPGs. Just my opinion.

  • @Zoidberg312 i'm going to totally agree with you. RPGs just aren't the same anymore..... with the exception of kh XD

  • @LotusSaya

I feel exactly the same way about this game!

  • Can´t stop to think about how amazing this game would be if Square could have finished it on the SNES-CD like they planned, before that cd-extansion got scrapped. Some say that was the main reason Square broke with Nintendo and went to Sony.

Also, Ted Wosley´s translation is really bad.

But still, one of my favourite games ever!

  • This was the BEST most epic game i had ever played when i was a kid i still remember how sick this was...thanks for uploading it...i still do not think i have played a better game..or one that was so memorable....

  • Does all your characters have 10/10 on every weapon, or did you just let them level the ones they had all through the game?

Great video, it brought back sooo many memories :-)

  • @CrystalOtep To be honest, I cant remeber, but I awlays level 3 weapons, the ones that essencial to finish the game: The Sword on Hero, The Axe on Girl and the Whipe on Sprite. Im gald you enjoyed it. =)

  • all anger and aggression from banishment taken out on rabbie at 0:09

  • This was one of my fav snes games when i was younger, i played this with my bro, secret of evamore is extremely good too, and yes the music from rpg snes games are much better then some ones you see now days, i wish they remade some great snes games like this. 5 stars, great vid

  • has anybdy noticed tht rpg games are best for its music?? and also the fact that all of the best rpg's ever made are on old school nintendo consoles, i thnk thts wht nintendo is best a making, i also thnk tht they should remake this game onto the ds

  • I still keeps playing these old games.

I mean, you cant compare this to WoW, this is better, all the classic games are the best. Nintendo for example makes the best games ever.

  • This game has become such a deep part of who I'am, from when I was 13, even until this very day. I used to record all these songs on cassette as a boy and listen to them on my headphones while walking through the different seasons of the year; in awe of the world and it's beauty. Especially walking in the night watching the snow fall in the park, alone in my thoughts, contentment, and at peace with life when the world got me down.

  • @LotusSaya Couldn't have said it any better!! I'm going on ebay now to buy an SNES.

  • @LotusSaya you are me. *motherfucking high five*

  • @LotusSaya Wow, love that post.

  • @LotusSaya My God, you were the boy version of me. Did you ever associate this with the movie "Legend" ?

  • memories. i was only 3 when it came out.

  • The music is still amazing!!

My favorite Game of all time.

  • thanks for this video, I've been putting it on loop while at work, many fond memories :)

  • I like the mana series's real-time overworld battle system.

  • ima get this

  • When i used to own a snes this was in my top 10 games for it

  • you use cheat for emulator zsnes is very cool

  • woooah, this takes me back, thought this was a great game

  • I spent weeks and weeks of my life trying to beat the final boss. Turns out I was SEVERLY under-levelled, around half the level I should have been.

I still beat it :D. Greatest gaming achievement.

  • @bogulmon I remember beating the last boss will just 1 hp to spare, I couldn't believe it, man that was lucky.

  • Haha same here :D

Every item spent, down on my last HP (one punch and I'd be dead), no more MP. And I charged up and hit him just before he unleashed his attack... and he died ^^

One of my greatest gaming achievments as well (:

  • That was a very nice throwback.

  • whoaaaaaah 4:53 O.o

  • yeah level 8:99 does some fancy magic :)

all of them do something interesting.

  • are developers really so naive as to think if they started making old school games like this again they wouldn't sell?

  • They need to make a new chrono trigger game.Still waiting on that

  • Great video, brought back some good memories of my brother and I playing this game.

  • Loved this game. It's been so long since seeing it. Thanks for posting it.

  • asshole

    I

    I

    V

  • oh i see, i take it back then, sorry!! the videotitle is misleading though. but now i see this is actually a great personal vid.

  • someone needs to read the sidebar

if you think it's crap and doesn't do the game justice, you can upload videos for free :)

  • It is a world tour because all the cool soundtrack is played.. and standing still so we can listen to that cool music with no interruptions. if you think it's crap, there's always youporn for ya.

  • thinkin of buying this game. just 1 question. dou have to play any other games before this or can u start with this one? thanks

  • this is the first one.

  • alright thanks

  • It's obvious that this game is from the same designer as Secret of Evermore.

  • They were not. 'Secret of Evermore' was created by a team of americans, at that time , Squaresoft USA which took inspiration (and the ring iventory menu) to make 'Secret of Evermore'. 'Secret of Mana' was developed by japanese Squaresoft employess only.=)

  • Well, the ring menu and the combat is 1:1 from SoE.

  • Sure, but its the other way around, Evermore came out by the time "Secret of Mana 2" (aka "Seiken Desentsu 3") was nearly out in Japan. "Evermore" used the gameplay and general mechanics of this "Mana", but it did had a very original magic system. Good times...

  • ya evermore rocked :D

  • @Rajin90 Actually.....no. I was already playing Secret of Mana when ads for Secret of Evermore came out. You fail.

  • @ShiryuGL Well Squaresoft made both games

  • @Rajin90 umm....i think its the other way around

  • This game needs a remake, better graphics, maybe more weapons/skills, same story and places. THAT or continue the life of Randi in another amazing story, IDC. Just keep the side scrolling hack and slash feel, stop depressing fans with terrible mana games lol.

  • its an fun game with an enchanting feel to it especially with the music and the story is compelling...but as far as battles go i seem to get frusterated with it a lot because enemies can be way overpowered, well maybe not way overpowered but overpowered enough, and i just die a lot...but i guess that's just part of the fun eh? but yeah this game is truly great.

  • Go into an Inn and keep casting spells for a few hours, I'm pretty sure you can level up your spells max in no time.

When i did this i used an emulator and just put it on super speed and casted spells over and over... when boss time came around nothing really could stand up to a level 4 lighting spell.

Healing spells are also good to lvl in the Inn. I never hear much people talk about this because frankly i came up with the idea when i was younger.

  • i never thought about doing that but thats a very good idea...thank you...that would make things a lot easier to have my spells beefed up and healing spells would be very essential used in that fashion as well...i'm also playing on an emu...but i dont really know how to make it go on turbo speed, how do you do that?

  • just awesome *_*

  • i dotn know if i like this or lom better

  • 5:33 marks one of my favorite tracks in the entire game. I want to sample that for something I'm doing.

  • A Bell Is Tolling.... I listen to this soundtrack every night I go to bed. God this is one of the greatest games ever made.

  • yaaaaai you went to my favorite area of all times! mainly because of the music i stayed in the forest area to lvl up weapons and such. Seriusly, it is SO fun to listen to that song XD.

Bad ass music, gameplay, game storyline (for its time), grinding style. I just think this game is the best game of all times. Nothing can beat it... except a possible remake in the future? maybe lol.

  • Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig Game

  • WOw i love this game lol. i had it when i was a kid till my mom sold it haha. then a few years later i got a super nintendo and the game so i could play it some more. haha

  • ZOMG!!! I HATE YOU ALL WHO HAVE THAT GAME *SOBS!!!* XD lolz well Enjoy! Cause I hope to buy a copy over EBAY if Push comes to shove, it's a freakin EPIC game!!!!!

  • you can get on your computer if you cant find it on ebay just use an snes emu

  • I know, I have the ROM and Emulator

    I want the real CARTRIDGE.

  • This game had a poignant, ancient-greek-tragedy quality to it. Some of the music is really awesome. Playing it was like reading a favorite book.

  • see when i was young i had a mega drive, so i never even knew wt an RPG was until the playstation ERA boy i missed out but its ok i've caught up now :)

  • Secret Of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Terraningma, Final Fantasy III and Earthbound. Are the 5 best RPGs on the SNES.

  • I've played all of those except Terraningma. Never even heard of Terraningma.

  • "Terranigma". Search for "Shiryu SNES Terranigma" and you will find a video of it. =)

  • one of the best games for SNES. Loved the story and the "co-op". Read on a webforum that this game was an inspration to a xbox game comming in 2009 called "penalty of ...." something, don't remember.

  • i love how they hit the floor from the cannon ride then get up to toon music.. that never gets old

  • i love this game

  • Someone should make a free MMO version of secret of mana hehehe..... please excuse me for making that comment.. anyways.. reply to me if you are interested

  • lol, that would be interesting, this game was one of the most epic games on the market. I'm sad that it's so rare, I want a copy of the Cartridge XD

  • I quite recently saw it going for £60 in a Gamestation in the UK.. I still have a copy of it (and I think a half decent box for it)... good times :-) just watching this vid makes me want to play it again

  • I actually have a copy of this game for the SNES as well.

  • Check Ebay bro. I just found it for around $20. Free shipping.

  • Yes download snes9xtyl and the rom on coolrom and put it on your psp

  • aww i miss this game.. =( i always played it now i gave it to my family =/ and he doesn't even plays it

    "=(

  • your family sucks for not playing the most epic game of all times lol. nah its ok i guess, if you see it this way, 10 years from now, games that they are playing right now on the PS3 or XBOX 360 are going to be epic for them. Same happened with 60's metal music (or so i think, im not sure lol). For them, that metal music will llive with them for eternity, and for us, we may listen a little, but we are going to keep listening to the music in our days. I say it all depends on the years we live in.

  • i got like 400 snes games on my computer! I always play this one

  • Secret of mana is a classic for the snes!

  • cool

  • There is a really c!ool secret of mana shirt on ebay.

  • Games no longer have this kind of character. Too bad.

  • Brings back fond memories of college winter in the late 90s. whenever i'd go for a morning jog in the snow, i think of the ice forest theme song. those were the days.. the all nighters, ramen noodles, friday night movies, and the snes experience <3

  • man i played this game over and over when it came out in japan! it allowed three ppl to play @ once so i played with my friends. i luvd how u can use the special attack when u hold down the button.

  • no you can use a gamecube controller

  • i nvr had a gamecube

but i did get thos classic controllers :)

  • truly one of the best games ever!

  • Thanks for this video, making it was a wonderful idea!

  • Still haven't played an RPG in all of these years that's had a soundtrack as good as Secret of Mana's. Only game that is up there with it is Final Fantasy X.

  • I thought Chrono Trigger was pretty good too

  • You do know that you can get back to the first village that you start in again after you have all 3 characters, right? Although pointless, I still find it fun.

  • wow, I loved this game.I remember when I got to end of the game And I came home from school and found my SNES and all my games were stolen. I honestly had over 40 games. whata pitty.this was an amazing game. I also liked "Chrono trigger", Illusion of Gaia" and FF VII.

  • Oh and the music that starts at 5:34 will always be memorable to me. A peaceful tune~

  • Thanks for posting this vid, this game is a masterpiece~

  • this ff6 and chrono triggers hands down best games ever

  • you my friend are 100% correct on that one!!!

  • earthbound as well cant forget about that

  • Release Date: Oct 13, 2008 wii america

  • Thank god I got this on my moms Wii, HELL I've even got her playing it with me XD LOLZ

  • You lucky american people! Im hoping this makes it to European VC ASAP! ^_^

  • This actually just came out on VC yay. Im going to go buy a points card to play it! The flying parts kinda remind me of pilotwings.

  • dude i remember this game

  • I never played this game, but it looks really fun. I think I should give it a try.

I like these types of games, like the fantasy/cartoon sort of games (Mario, Pokemon, EarthBound, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong). I share some sort of spiritual bond with these games because they're so amazing and fun.

I'm glad I'm not one of those guys who play firstperson shooters all day long.

  • can someone tell me how to play this online through an emulator please and which one? thanks

  • This might be the greatest game ever made... and it is Shaq's favorite too!

  • This Game and Crystalis and FinaL FantasY 1, 3/6 and Phantasy Star 2 were the finest games of those years. Sword of Vermillion was good also. But Secret Of Mana broke NEW ground with the f*ck*ng flying 3d Dragon near the end! And the music is the best music to any game there is or ever was really.

  • Does the sprite die at the end of the game? He's not with the the boy & girl during the ending credits

  • He disappears after the mana beast is killed but does not die.

  • great game i think ill buy it soon

  • i still have this game on the super nintendo XD

  • oye asme un fa mandame trucos para este juego porque tienes muchisimo dinero como haras
