Melee with knives (better yet ULAKS), stealth executions, gunplay, RPG elements. The game mixes it all with ease. No competition.
It's sort of like Crysis. There's the run n gun boring way to play it. There's also the strategic stealth element just waiting to be explored. The game doesn't force you to play stealth. It's just like "We have this option in store. We'd highly suggest playing it this way." Yes. I think I will. Thanks.

Just finished this after picking it up in the steam sale and I was very impressed. The ending was low key and some frustrating boss fights at the end but otherwise, playing the two games all the way through, I was very impressed. Level design reminded me of Deus Ex and I liked the sneak mechanics. AI wasn't perfect but certainly a notch above most: it was capable of mistaking where you were when you snuck round things and heading you off at the pass when it guessed correctly. Good acting too.
guys whats TAGES cause on steam it says "After activating the third time your product using TAGES a 30-day timer starts. After 30 days you will get that activation back up to 3 total activations." so does that mean i get it for 90 days or what?

@EGIL94 those drones seem very familiar to borgs in elite force 1 and 2. nah, the borgs in elite force adapted to your weapons which was cool bc you would have to switch to alt fire, or change weapons. it made you use like every weapon in your inventory.
Oh, yes. This is the best FPS stealth game ever made, IMO. It truly deserves the M rating as well. Brutal as all hell. Game > Movie.
Also, the third person view is there for a reason. You can move the camera around to see if an enemy is walking by. Sometimes you can wait til they get to a ledge, dismount the ladder, sneak behind them, and push 'em off.

@BrainSeepsOut u have to admit...the multiplayer in MW 1 and 2 are out of this world. they are so fun!!! but I will admit, gameplay wise and story wise, of course Riddick beats MW. It's a known fact, MW is for people who enjoy multiplayer FPS action, while games like this and Bioshock are geared more towards people looking for a story and fresh gameplay additions.

If Butcher Bay was a brand newly released game... It would still be one of the best, most original modern games. And it really is. The atmosphere is fantastic... And considering the original xbox game had ( not lying ) better textures and filters than doom 3, and released before it, made far quicker. It really was a masterpiece!!!

@DustMan2704 Butcher bay and Dark athena are two seperate FULL games, on PS3 Blu-Ray format it's 1 disc, I dunno about Xbox or PC... Butcher Bay was released in 2004 for Xbox original and Pc and PS2, it's been re-mastered and thrown in to this bundle, Dark Atena was released in 2008 or '09, not sure, EFBB was way ahead of it's time, AoDA, maybe not.

Man, this guy makes the game look REAL good, the way he plays. This game is much more Stealth than it is FPS. I've only played through a couple hours of Dark Athena but I beat Butcher Bay, and I'd say if you like Stealth, you just might love this game. If you like FPS a lot more, than there's the potential that you'll be disappointed, but there is some FPS in the game.

this game is great graphics are the shit on the pc. its a very hard game but its not for kids i give the single player mode a 10/10

@DustMan2704 Butcher bay and Dark athena are two seperate FULL games, on PS3 Blu-Ray format it's 1 disc, I dunno about Xbox or PC... Butcher Bay was released in 2004 for Xbox original and Pc and PS2, it's been re-mastered and thrown in to this bundle, Dark Atena was released in 2008 or '09, not sure, EFBB was way ahead of it's time, AoDA, maybe not.

This is, first and foremost, a stealth FPS title. Much like Crysis and Thief. You can run and gun, but it's not the way it was intended to be played.

Man, this guy makes the game look REAL good, the way he plays. This game is much more Stealth than it is FPS. I've only played through a couple hours of Dark Athena but I beat Butcher Bay, and I'd say if you like Stealth, you just might love this game. If you like FPS a lot more, than there's the potential that you'll be disappointed, but there is some FPS in the game.
