@ChrisBrownLuvva4Eva get more professional color pencils and they normally come with a package that has lighter shades of that color. then you just smoothly go from dark and dont press as hard on the paper and it will go lighter. maybe use your finger and smear it around and softens it up. i tried my best to help lol. dont know if i make sense
