my dad gave me my first horse and my dad did teach me to ride , and i have fell off a horse and broken bones but i never gave up . I never gave up riding to this day , i travel the world riding now . I have cried and i moved on . i am now grown up and still dont give up , i thank my dad everyday for helping me so much and teaching my lessons in life that have helped me .

this is like kinda like my life my family owns a ranch and i loved horses and went into the pasture one day and found i horse. I name it flier but i tried to lure it to the ranch it didnt work but i rode when i captured it it threw me off now i have a bad back but me and flier are best of friends now

This movie remindes me of me and my dad we are always fighting over what is best for the farm. I train wild horses in far north queensland australia, they are beautiful and strong they are amazing. but my dad thinks they are parasites and don't deserve the time that I put into them he says I waste my good gift's. does any one agree with me or my dad because I would like to know any witch way.

no I moved two years ago to Cooktown far north Queensland Australia I now live on a cattle property that I am changing to a brumby center but before I have always ridden horses and wanted one for myself it was just too hard in the city to own one and then dad got my mum an x race horse and it was nuts so I went out and caught my own every one said it was nuts to train a wild horse but when I trained one no one thought that was the case they now think I have a gift how about you though did you?

a simpler way to start when u get actually on the is to tie sand bags to there legs and put them in a damn thats not to deep for them they can try t throw u but the sand bags are to heavy and it wont be able to bolt only walk out and it doesnt have the risk factors to the horse or to you

yeah that is a good way but if the horse has a hard mouth or is terrified of water it doesn't work so I have found patience and driving works best so if the horse does anything you are out of the way

i love brumbies though and im sick of people thinking they are pests and the majorityy of brumbies caught are sent to the dog food factories. even though most of them could still be trained or used for breeding a higher standard horse

I learned by trial and error I didn't grow up on a farm I had just moved to the out back when someone came and told me that they were going to shoot the wild horses if something wasn't done about them so I stepped up to the plate and took up the job I had ridden since I was young but never broken a horse but I learned love is the best way it also goes well with freedom never break there spirit become one.

My family and I didn't like the fact that she never wrapped Flicka's rope around Yankee's saddle horn, she wouldn't have been dragged and gotten rope and butt burn on her then.

Yes but had she dallyed, which you really shouldn't do with horses, even tame one, it could of wrapped her and her horse if it bolted... and that wouldn't end well... trust me, butt burn aint all that bad vs breaking an arm cause of gettin wrapped... Im speaking from experience.

I think Yankee would have outweighed Flicka, it would've probably jerked her back on the rope, but Yankee would've naturally pulled back but kept moving forward, but moving slower, so it would've slowed Flicka down.

Yes it might of slowed her down but she most likely will bolt, and not straight or a predictable way, and that could of wrapped Yankee and he. and a horse cant pull back and move forward at the same time! Its not a matter of slowing the mare down, its a matter of her and yankee not getting wrapped in the saddle, which end s REALLY badly. Im not taking about slowing the mare down, Im talking about the dangers of getting wrapped. Plus getting dragged is better than getting wrapped!

She wouldn't have wrapped Yankee in the rope, she would've turned, and Yankee would've gone with her, and Kate(I think) would've had Yankee going slower than Flicka, finally bringing her to a halt, rather than falling off and nearly breaking something important.
