Do Koreans know the meaning of sportmanship? When there is an international encounter, both sides need to stand for each other's national anthems. Even though China's the host, as guests, you need to be respectful of the hosts home. It seems that the Korean team fails to understand this.

@Nyro888 Know your facts before you speak. Although the game took place in China, the game's home team was Korea, not China. What China did, since they are hosting the Asian games, was flipping the order of anthems and introduction, against international tournament customs, to Korea-China instead of China-Korea. Korea didn't agree to it but China went ahead and changed it anyway. Why? Because they wanted to carry the "home" fan chanting into the game to overwhelm the Korean players.

That doesn't justify Korea's rudeness, instead it shows that Koreans can't handle the pressure playing away from home. Probably along with the players as well. So, China did something that was not agreed by both sides, with a clear motive to overwhelm the Korean players, and yet you are expecting Korean players to show respect during Chinese anthem. That's absurd.

I think Chinese people do not think that it is rude and inappropriate to ask those kind of questions. Many other sports stars or coaches such as Jose Mourinho had similar experience from Chinese journalists and Mpitinho even directly mentioned to them that it was not appropriate. Should we just understand that it is a part of Chinese culture? @austindeer I don't think it was inappropriate, rather slightly off topic. All media asks general questions, where some questions may be contentious, and not in the context of the game. The questions asked could've been easily deflected by the Korean coach, but instead he acted like a sore loser and stormed off. As for Mourinho, he not's exactly a role model for class and manners. Just look at the recent eyepoke incident, not to mention all the controvesies he's had with the media.
