  • @pinkpanther1st hey! im 12 and im listenin to this and i much prefer this to justin bieber nd all them so dont say all kids have tin ears its not true!!

  • ella fitzgerald , louis armstrong , louis jordan , etta james vs. justin bieber , kesha , nicki minaj ...... lets face it the music today doesnt even begin to compare with the music back then!! i wish i was alive!! :(

  • Kinda makes you want to jump on a jet and be there by morning.

  • @LadyInCrimson Already here

  • such a beautiful song and voices'... to condemn with such voices in your ears you MUST be Naught but a crude Barbarian! Consume a Phallus if you must berate such beauty. Thou intelligence must be of an Underwhelming level as to incite the Amomeba.

  • fcac there is room for ALL types of music. everyone has thire era

  • RIP Pop-I long for the day to be reunited with you in heaven. I love and miss you much

  • sorry ,I believe it was oscar

  • listen to tommy flanagan comp.....sheer sex

  • The best music is the one u listen with your eyes closed. There's no need to look, you just FEEL.

  • It is really nice to listen to great music - and from Ella, fantastic delivery !

In my book of "greats ", there are not many names, but Ella is definitely in there !

  • Guts. Louis Armstrong was a genius with guts. Maybe it's just sublime self confidence or that he'd been in the business so long he knew that what he was doing was going to turn out just fine; however, to go to a record date knowing you're going to be singing duets with the greatest singer who ever lived, Ella Fitzgerald, takes something that I can't imagine ever having. I have this CD, have listened to it for years. It's an amazing accomplishment I'll always treasure.

  • i <3 this song

  • does anyone know where you can get sheet music for this?!

  • @mayathebeex3 The musicians are reading off of a lead sheet (there's one for this song at EChords.com) You can find these in collections called Fake Books

  • A song just can't get any better...this is so pure and sweet.....

  • I'll be spending part of April in Paris! Mon dieu, quelle chance!!

  • April, Latin origin: aperire, means open, because chestnuts are in blossom.

  • it feels like love at first sight

  • *sigh*

  • the thing about this genre of music is that it takes me back to the personality i truly am. its a good feeling, being able to detach yourself from other feelings and emotions that follow you during your day.. this stuff really just mirrors who i feel like deep down. classy. i miss my classy lady:/

  • @smartfkr nice thoughts... I know where you are coming from

  • @beardfreak1969 Yeah, great rendition, somehow stepped off the busy lifetrain and waiting for the slow one

  • unforgetable time !

  • When my mother was almost gone from dementia, I took her for a ride in my car and played this song. She had her head back and seemed to be sleeping. She opened her eyes, and said: "That's Ella. I love her". She woke up to listen to this song. I will never forget it. Pure Magic.

  • @johnhowardesq I am touched by your history. Thanks for sharing. :)

  • @johnhowardesq your comment made me cry. god bless :)

  • @johnhowardesq Cheers for sharing that story. So many of us can relate to that.

  • come on fcac20, Lady Gaga is great! do you think she does only the crap they play on the radiO? she's a real jazz singer too and very talentuous singer. the problem is not the artists, it is the crowd. why does the latter only wants crap? We should wonder...

  • @juditkarlsson because thats what big brother media is shoving down our throats. people need to realize there is other stuff out there and if your on this page you clearly have at least started to open your eyes to real music.

  • this is class period heavenly thanks for posting

  • Mesmerizing . . . still!

  • We let our forward ideas kill our classic and sensuous culture. We forgot to embrace and look back to forward our ideology of the future. Music like this will always last throughout the ages even when we are all ashes and bones. We have to live like we are always appreciative of the day we have and laugh like til we feel as if we will burst and love as if the world was turned upside down. All they said was enjoy love and life. We all need to learn to Breathe.

  • why is everyone lamenting about our current culture; things have to move forward, even if it is ironically backwards for what we consider.

    just appreciate Ella's beautiful voice.

  • soooo beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My partner and I were in Paris, just before April last year, this song kept going through my head. It was the most romantic vacation we've had so far. This song brings being in Paris all over again. Love Paris, Ella, and Louis.

  • This song is so beautiful and timeless.

  • Chief role for Ray Brown (once married to Ella).

  • This is the nearest to perfection as one can get.... Beautiful video, thanks for posting this little gem.

  • excellent songs with the greats of the good music and lirics. Let us it live again

  • excellent songs with the greats of the good music and lirics. Lest live again

  • This genre is becoming my life in a small matter of months... I am looking forward to reintroducing classy music to our children!

  • this is music everyone can enjoy.

    it's beauty touches the heart!

    spectacular thanks.

  • never been to paris and may never go but i just felt like i lived there for years when i listen to this song

  • excelleenntttt¡¡¡

  • Not to mention Louis... His voice is the like a axe, cutting through my very existence with every word.

  • She is utterly brilliant.

  • I wish people would stop criticize Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber or music our days in general, it isn't just their fault for making that style of music it is our fault too because we just complain instead of making BETTER MUSIC like the 60's or 70's !

  • @C7Petra You are an idiot.

  • @jfj619 what makes you say that?

  • I've just heard this for the first time.

It's just like one of those beautiful moments... you know?

Such a warm loving and quintissential duet, perfect music and vocals.

  • @natescovers Glad you can appreciate it.

  • @natescovers yes, you're so right. I'm glad I got to see this. I remember old films, the films that put me in the mood for love, like this kind of music does. greetings from Romania and have a happy life :)

  • Well spoken people! This brings a tear to my eyes.

  • this is the kind of music one can hear all our lives specially me. its the best lyrics, words and music and the way you potraite the love for the city in any season nobody else can do it in today's world. today people are running behind god knows what kind of music which is more like beating just empty tin canesters.

  • Isn't this off of the sound-track to 'Forget Paris'?

  • Bravo! mikvars es simghera da xmebi! sikvaruls magonebs:)

  • I am thinking what the hell are we doing with our culture? Lady Gaga? Justin Bieber? Avatar? WTF?

  • @fcac20 Sad isn't it. It's the fast food mentality.

  • @fcac20 I couldn't agree more. those are my exact sentiments

  • @fcac20 Avatar is a good movie.... why did u put avatar in your comment?

    motherfucker

  • @fcac20 Why does everything has to revolve around this noobs nowadays... Mentioning them on such great songs only diminishes and hurts the prestige of these wonderful artists. The same happens with people that comment on the number of dislikes, that: people who dislike this song, must really appreciate a certain noob.

Grow up and stop making imbecile comments.

  • @fcac20 every generation has it's thing don't be so jugdemental XD live life carefree and just sing back into that big lazy boy and listen to smoe old records

  • @fcac20 What culture? the kids of today have tin ears, most of the "musos you mention are not even hitting the notes

  • this is divine inspiration mere mortals cant do this thanks for this it s simply lovely

  • No other duo can compete. They bring out the best in eachother!!!!

  • such beautiful music that makes your mind feel so at rest...my minds feels as though it is so comfortable as I listen to this song. This song opens the spirit of imagination and allows us to explore our thoughts!!!!! What a beautiful feeling...2010. It is sad that music today cannot engulf you the same way.

  • Thanks a lot for the nice video response!

    Greetings,

    Thesnobs

  • there are moments when you are glad to live this life, so here this is one of them...

  • @zzzoom1k exactly the same I feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Bentland :) ...

  • @zzzoom1k perfectly put

  • @theredcorvette thank's,

normally, jazz makes you think about the things that happen in this world, but, here we have a beautiful song that tells you "no matter what you think in this moment, life is actually marvelous".... sometimes it is quite hard to believe, but it's true...

  • @zzzoom1k Exactically. in this life i will miss and treasure music the most.

  • @zzzoom1k Very-very well said, my friend! Cheers everybody! :-)
