  • Do someone know the value in mm ? Like 5mm To type in ..?

  • @InspiritAmy When you first use SketchUp, it asks you to choose a unit of measurement. I forgot how to change the unit but if you chose a metric unit just use decimals. eg. In meters, 0.005, in centimetres 0.5

  • Wow... really cool and really simple.

  • ACCURACY DOESN'T WORK IN SKETCHUP8.

  • @spiderkid321 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it does

  • the accuracy thing didn't work for me :(

  • Cool. So, how do you make the train ride over a railway to New York and hit a bird which results in a big smash into this building we build which will then break into exactly thousand pieces of the exact same size?

  • iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • Very good tutorial for beginner !!

  • Typing measurements doesn't do a thing ... using 8.

  • Why does it say offset to... when I try to use push/pull to cut?

  • I crossdress sometimes.

  • I do hope you can use mm, only dressmakers use cm! hehehe

  • @Samqdf i use cm for designing my vivariums and thats kinda of not anytihng like dressmkaing

  • @trainchrash a joke, more common between fabricators

  • kut video

  • for 5 feet, you have type 5' , not '5 feet'

  • i still dont understand WHERE should i type 12cm to make shape of this size ?

How to draw rectangle 5x5 meters ?

  • @KPuBETKA you just type it. there is no box or anything to input the measurements

  • @SinjinOh I use the version 8 of SketchUp. Lower right corner.

  • @KPuBETKA Type 5m, 5m. Confirm by looking in the lower right corner. There is a box which records what you type. (You do NOT have to click in that box to start typing. Just start a tool and type. That box is for verifying if SketchUp is receiving your input and/or what you are typing.)

  • How would one make a sphere?

  • if I want to make a whole in say a box, how do i use the push pull to tool to create like a cylinder straight through?

  • make a rectangle on the ground, pull it upwards. then draw a circle on the side and push it inwards

  • the metrical thing not work to me

  • impossible to join poles together to export into another cad program

  • every time i type 5 feet for example when push/pull.. it doesnt work because the action changes every time i hit the letter "T".. it changes in tape measure action.

  • you should re read the tutorial again "5' FOR 5 feet"

  • Use ' for feet and '' for inches.

  • feet and inches inst metrical u duchebag !

  • This is an excellent tutorial! I've imported a lot of SketchUp objects to my projects in Live Interior 3D. You can see some walkthroughs of my projects on my page.

  • Brilliant

  • Great tuts... thx

  • I'm a beginer

  • Very, very good for beginners!

  • good question

  • how do i make a cone?

  • One way is to create a cylinder, draw a circle, push/pull it up into a cylinder. Then use the scale tool to scale the top of the cylinder to a cone shape.

The better method is to use the follow-me tool to create a lathed shape from a cone profile. Watch the video on follow-me to see how this would work.

  • uh whats a lathed shape?

  • A shape carved as you rotate it. Like making a fancy table leg using a carpentry tool called a lathe.

  • lol, yeah, i know that now, but a year ago i ha dnever even herd of a lathe. so i bought 2, its kinda fun to mess around with, but the thing cast a fcking lot

  • you like cones?

  • uuh no, my friend bet me that he could make a better model of an F-15 using google sketch up, and the nose of the plane is cone shaped.

  • I thought you were trying to make the breasts of a woman. is this software free?

I would make a model of a ship that runs on a desert

    good luck

    peace

  • yes its free, jsut type it into google and there should be the dl, and y would i use this to make a woman, my gf is good enough
