@InspiritAmy When you first use SketchUp, it asks you to choose a unit of measurement. I forgot how to change the unit but if you chose a metric unit just use decimals. eg. In meters, 0.005, in centimetres 0.5

There is an iPad app that lets you view sketchup models. Runs really fast and has measurements and solid cut planes. It's called iCAD Professional and it has a free demo version, iCAD Free.
Guys! Check out the London3Dproject, to see the progress of modeling London, and watch tutorials of how we do it, and how you can get even better at modeling!
Cool. So, how do you make the train ride over a railway to New York and hit a bird which results in a big smash into this building we build which will then break into exactly thousand pieces of the exact same size?
@KPuBETKA Type 5m, 5m. Confirm by looking in the lower right corner. There is a box which records what you type. (You do NOT have to click in that box to start typing. Just start a tool and type. That box is for verifying if SketchUp is receiving your input and/or what you are typing.)
aunque el vide no me paresca muy llamativo ni mmuy revolucionar el contenido llama la atecnicon pues esplica el funcionamiento de un programa de como este crea y modifica algo que ya esta echo para que quede mejor
When you push a surface in Sketchup, how to you pull it back to its original position, that is of height zero? When I do this, the whole object disappears. Please kindly advise.
every time i type 5 feet for example when push/pull.. it doesnt work because the action changes every time i hit the letter "T".. it changes in tape measure action.
This is an excellent tutorial! I've imported a lot of SketchUp objects to my projects in Live Interior 3D. You can see some walkthroughs of my projects on my page.
One way is to create a cylinder, draw a circle, push/pull it up into a cylinder. Then use the scale tool to scale the top of the cylinder to a cone shape.
The better method is to use the follow-me tool to create a lathed shape from a cone profile. Watch the video on follow-me to see how this would work.
lol, yeah, i know that now, but a year ago i ha dnever even herd of a lathe. so i bought 2, its kinda fun to mess around with, but the thing cast a fcking lot
