NEVER carry a gun in a purse even if designed for it. Completely useless in comparison to on person carry. Concealed being the best option. Open carry being the Hey look at me i have a gun option. anyone says otherwise just smack them across the face and call them an idiot.
This purse seems like it would slow down your draw unless acting like you are getting your money out to give to a robber or something. I think my wife would stick with her black hawk tactical holster. Can this purse fit a desert eagle? or is it to short? Thanks
lol thats not the kitchen silly XD jk jk props for safety implements and weapon control, i was looking for my girlfriend and i commend the ammo check and straight trigger finger
My biggest problem with gun in the purse is purse snatchers or loosing your purse. How are you going to grab your gun if your playing tug of war with a bad guy?
thats awesome i always hated the idea of carrying a firearm in a purse especially the way my fiances purse is HUGE i swear you could hide a bowling ball in there an noone would know i plan on showin her this video. where did u purchase the purse? thanks alot
I just bought this bag in brown. I can't wait to get it. I am also not a fan of purse carry but sometimes being female doesn't always work the best for carrying a gun on your person. I also purchased the supertuck holster. I am still waiting for it. Thank you for making these videos. I have been looking for a female perspective on holsters and found yours. Thank you and God bless
@richardjburke, I once thought a man standing on the corner @ 11pm as i was parking my car was going to try to attack me, sure enough as soon as I got out of my car the man started towards me, I could have had my gun concealed in hand at that point, plenty of time. BTW I did not have gun on me at that moment, I bluffed with my hand in my purse and faced him until he turned and left.
@faliaphotography Excellent videos, I will never be caught w/o my gun again now that I know how to conceal carry.
Excelent advice.Although I do not like purse carry for a women,in some instances, like shopping at the supermarket it is an easy way to acess a fire arm if and when needed.

@mlcjames as long as you are a resident and dont have any felonies, and 21 years of age you can buy any handgun avaiable. from a 22 derringer all the way to a 50 ae desert eagle.
excuse me for asking but what state do you live in because my wife has a ch perment but we dont know if it is legal to buy concealing handguns in texas
@MclJames I may be reading your question wrong, but I have lived in texas and it is perfectly leagl to purchase a handgun that is meant to be concealed.
@MclJames It is not illegal to buy concealing handguns in TX. That's what the CHL is for, to be able to carry the concealed handgun. Unless you're law enforcement, your handgun have to be concealed, for TX anyway.
@MclJames Purchasing a handgun is fairly simple in Texas. A background check is usually done on the spot at your local firearms dealer. The size or intent of how the weapon will be carried has no bearing on the sale of the firearm.
Not sure what you are asking but I carry concealed in Texas. Texas is very open to conceal carry and it is quite easy to get a Texas CHL if you are a good law abiding citizen.
@MclJames if you get your CHL (concealed handgun license) you can concealed carry. Currently there is an open carry bill being passed through that NO ONE knows about.
If I was the owner/s of Gun Toating Mamas' I would pay you big dollars for being so precise and informative about their product. You left no stone unturned (so to speak) Perfect!!
awesome job in your videos :) ... just a tip; when you use the purse, you talked about keeping your arms out of the way so your not sweeping yourself... you may have thought about it already.. but instead of unzipping the purse forwards.. if you unzip the purse towards the rear your arm is out of the way and ready to draw, which would also make drawing a bit quicker ... great review!.. good to see women like you excersizing their rights to carry.. have a good'en ;)
Great Vid! I've been looking for something for my GF to replace the Jumbo-knock-off we each got. She likes her GP100 4" and that might help her carry it. My new purse...I mean tacticool man-bag of doom lol...is a REI Boarding Bag that 'm going to trick out a bit with loop field and swivel clips. If you ever need something larger that screams "Yuppie" instead of "Gun", I highly recommend it!
On the fanny pack: I have to agree with 2142Unknown. Seeing someone wearing a fanny pack means 1 of 2 things: 1. You're a dork. 2. You're a cop or a tactical guy carrying a gun. haha.
@faliaphotography I agree. Yep, if you can pull it off….more power to you. I just thought of a third group I should ad to that: I've seen a lot of body builder types carrying fanny packs. I don't know if it's roids, or supplements, or what they carry in those things.
I hate to admit it, but i have always been sort of jealous of women in the sense of concealed carry. I mean, you girls can carry a Smith & Wesson 500 4" barrel and a couple of speedloaders in most of your purses. But guys are expected to carry no more than a wallet. And fanny packs are just for large japanese familys who go to Disney Land.
We can carry in a purse, yes, but it is really not ideal. I believe that bad guys tend to go for a woman's purse, first, because IF the woman has a gun, it is probably there. As for fanny packs, that is not true.... Just ask nutnfancy! He rocks the fanny pack
@faliaphotography I realize that carrying concealed in a purse is not the best option, but im just saying that women can carry a heck of alot unnoticed. And i think the badguys go to the purse first for the most part to get their wallet, credit cards, cash, etc. Not really because they are afraid that they are carrying. And about nutn, well...Kicking ass is not always stylish.
My husband gave this purse to me for Christmas. My biggest concern is that my phone will fall out of the phone pouch. I wish it were deep enough that I could close the opening. Have you had a problem with your phone falling out? I am considering making a strap to attach to the velcro that will go over my phone.
Thanks for the videos. They are a great help to me. I am still trying to figure out the best way to carry on me. It helps that you have a little revolver, just like me:o)
nope, my phone has never fallen out. I have an iphone (good size fit for the phone holder pouch), and I bought that little open-topped pink iphone case at Kmart. It helps make the phone fit snugly into the phone pouch on the purse. Really my phone hasn't even attempted to fall out so I'm not too concerned about it. Perhaps with a smaller phone that may happen? But depends on how loosely it fits into the pouch and also how rough you are with your purse. Hope this helps!
have shot any more small pistols like what you have...i want to get my wife a gun...dunno which tho...im leaning towards the keltec p3at, s&w bodyguard 380 and the ruger lcp....if anyone has any other great suggestions let me know
Oh my... Cute and armed...!?!? =) Anyways, great videos and I hope to see more from you in the future... Check out Maxpedition.c o m for other concealed carry options if you haven't already... Not the best for concealed carry, but their bags are practical, including the purpose for concealed carry...
ugh, Yeah, women shouldn't rely on purse carry as their primary method. I've always tried to promote ON BODY carry, first and foremost, for many reasons. Some women just won't carry on body, which is why I made my other vids - to show them it is possible! Really you just need to play around a bit with your wardrobe, guns, where you position the holster, etc. And really that is fun for us girls anyhow (playing dress up, shopping, etc). :) lol
I hear you, and I agree, there are alot of negatives with purse carry. I'd still rather have my gun in my purse at CERTAIN times though, rather than not have it with me at all. I may need it at some point and actually be able to access it, even though it is in my purse. You never know. I do carry on body much MORE than purse carry, but sometimes I'm still thankful to have a gun purse too.
It's true, each carry method has it's drawbacks, but for women, purse carry definitely has it's positives. If a woman wants to actually wear clothes that FIT her body, concealed carry can be a real struggle, and purse carry is SOMETIMES a good way to go. I also wouldn't carry if purse-carry was my ONLY option, but trust me, it is a great backup at times so I can carry 2 guns. This particular purse has a reinforced strap too (steel cable), so it remains with my body at all times

@faliaphotography No problem. Keep up the videos! There are so few women/girls making videos. Women have a completely different perspective and special needs for concealed carry. It is obvious you take it seriously and you are safety minded. Keep it up! (haha I called you "special needs")
Awesome video! Very informative, even for a guy, lol! I'm going to show this to my girlfriend so that she can see different ways for a women to carry and might re-think her position on getting a concealed carry permit. :)
Lima (who makes other helpful ccw videos) says that hers also sticks into her ribs a bit while driving, so it isn't just you. I personally haven't found it to be too uncomfortable while driving though. I don't mind it while driving. What kind of gun are you carrying? Maybe your grip is bigger than mine? Not sure.. :(
Good vid I think that will help some gals I'm going to get that bag for my girl fo-Sho I'm bummed us guys can't get away with something like that not socially acceptable
I actually kind of like that bag. I had yet to see a concealed carry purse that I could see myself carrying one day. I've been considering getting my CCW, so it's nice to see that it is possible for a female to carry on body without it being blatantly obvious. Thanks for sharing!
yeah, I've always been against purse carry too... I like the idea of using it for a backup gun though. And surprisingly, I find myself defending gun purses when it comes to draw time. Drawing out of this particular purse is FAST (faster than several of my other types of holsters). I love the SP101 too :) and yes, crimson trace on all my guns. Thx for the comment! I've got 5 vids so far and counting... lol.

I personally haven't found it to be too uncomfortable while driving though. I don't mind it while driving. What kind of gun are you carrying? Maybe your grip is bigger than mine? Not sure.. :(

Uh. Guys just so you know. It's legal in almost every state to just carry around a gun where ever you want as long as it isn't concealed

This video is to help females who have their CCW/CPL and wish to concealed carry.

For self defense, do you keep sp101 loaded with .357 or .38+p?

I actually kind of like that bag. I had yet to see a concealed carry purse that I could see myself carrying one day. I've been considering getting my CCW, so it's nice to see that it is possible for a female to carry on body without it being blatantly obvious. Thanks for sharing!

@Mrcaffinebean
I hardly ever open carry. Every once in a blue moon I do.

yeah, I've always been against purse carry too... I've got 5 vids so far and counting... lol.
