  • @detroitmetalfreak They did a show on 22 June, 1997. They might also have played there on the Diorama or Young Modern tours.

  • HOLY POTATOES!! I went to this show! All I wanted for my 16th birthday was to win tickets to this secret gig and my wish came true. The highlight was when my plus one and I had snuck backstage and met Daniel and Ben after the show, then got kicked out by some big, burley security guard LOL Still was an awesome night :)

  • I was at this gig....JJJ sponsored. The sound was unbelieveable! The video does not do justice

  • @deekhead1 Wow - wasn't this for like, two hundred people who won the tickets or something?

  • @meldasue Yes, was one of those "Secret Gigs" . Was to highlight youth suicide. Remember it well

  • Yes it was one of Triple J's Secret Gigs. Was to highlight youth suicide. Was a Brilliant night.

  • what the fuck to the lyrics mean??

why the hell do they still play the songs they wrote when they were tweens?

  • Actually, they hardly play any of the songs they wrote when they were teens (not tweens), which is unfortunate because some of Daniel's early stuff beats the snot out of the pretentious crap he's writing now.

  • @meldasue "pretentious crap" jajajajajajajajaja hilarious!!!!

  • Oh, crap - I just removed the comment you were replying to instead of the spam right above it. They need an 'undo' or something.

  • feel free to remove mine too, it sucks anyway :)

yeah, definitely, I would appreciate that feature as well

  • Just a correction to my previous comment - I'm not sure the whole thing was ever televised. It was taped, but it may be that the parts we have are the only ones that later aired as part of other specials.

  • Good question. I know The Door, Pop Song and Cemetery weren't broadcast on Channel V & the last 2 weren't in the Triple J broadcast, either. They held The Door because it was supposed to be the official video for the single, & I'd guess they planned to put Cemetery & Pop Song in the Freak Box. With Daniel having the flu, the quality wasn't good enough. The Door was released as the video, but not really promoted-it's not on the official site & it wasn't included in the 'Complete' Videology.

  • I absolutely love that show :) thank you :)

  • Me, too - I wish more video were available (and that 'Pop Song' and 'Cemetery' would somehow surface).

  • well... I'm way too young to have all those videos cos I never started to collect them...

Yes... I'd really like to hear cemetary...:) but there are plenty of good performances

  • where do you get all your vids? thank you for putting this up

    =)

  • I found this one at the hub - there's a link in the video profile.

  • Thank you =)

  • the stage is awesome

    thanx for "chairing"

    :-))))

  • No big - it's twice as much fun to share it.
