  • can this be done on a boss me 70

  • could you make a video on how to get the tone like tim rewicks guitar on "Learning to fly" from pulse, and how to get the tone from tim rewicks guitar solo that was added on to "another brick in the wall???" (from pulse also)

  • i can do this on my GT8, still getting rid of it though - I've learnt to not like these multi-effects pedals.. individual stomp boxes for me, i'm reformed lol.

    sounded good though.

  • Anyone know why I don't have (delay effect level) in the assign window? I only have on/off, D1 time and warp sw.

  • Dude, are you from the Isle of Man, it sounds like a bit of manx accent in their from time to time. I'll be using this to set up my GT10 by the way, good job.

  • bad sounda, bad execution... BAD.

  • Cant get this to work. Did everything you said and write. Yet my pedal doesm't change the effect level. It does nothing : (

  • nice man keep it up ;-)

  • Can anybody help me? I've followed directions as per video but can't get this effect to work. Can anybody tell me how to get the pedal changed to "moment"?

    Thanks.

  • @mockieboon master fx/assign; then, press displaymode so you can see just text, then go down and where it says src mode change it to moment.! good luck

  • nice one ..Boss should be greatful for the likes of you i bet a few people have gone out and bought a gt10 on the strengh of this

  • Complimenti! Cavolo!

  • I used to have a GT-3 back in the day and while I enjoyed it, I ultimately threw it out. I found I ended up spending way too much time programming fake digital sounds and very little time playing. Just my $0.02. I got a much better result buying a quality tube amp coupled with 3-5 pedals that I will actually use like a CS, DD, Rat, Volume & Wah. This is all I need now :-)

  • this can be done with boss gt6 ?????

  • @yoryis2801 I don't know, never owned the GT6 (the GT10 can do this though)

  • @yoryis2801 I really struggled to get this to work with the GT6 and I think it was mainly for one (or both) of two reasons. 1. The GT6 only has one signal path where as the GT10 has two (and so does the GT8 I think). 2. There was no mix/direct level within the effect so you couldn't bypasss the effect i.e. The effects are series effects and not parallel.

  • On The GT-10 . When You Create Your Own Patches Can You Name Them So If Your Playing Out Live And You Wanted To Use This Patch Could You Name It Beforehand ie, Name It "Gilmour" or something Like That ... Any Answers Would Be Appreciated :)

  • Awesome! Thank you. I just bought a gt10 and this demo has been super helpful at getting me to explore some of the features. Great sound! And I liked the way you played :)

  • almost good. i think the only thing is bad is the way to far reverb. 7 secs? i think should be 4 may by 5 but 7 for me is to long

  • is dare a tuner on the gt 10

  • @ganton34kk Yes - there's a built in tuner but I just prefer a seperate pedal for ease of use. The best thing any guitarist can buy is a good tuner, if your tuning isn't spot on you'll never sound any good. Even slight pitch problems can be quite obvious. The more you play the more you can spot them a mile off. A seperate tuner will awlays be better than the ones found in FX units - easier to read as they're designed just for that task.

  • if i dont have the extra 2 pedals how do i set it up for the fx/

  • @van637 - there's only one extra pedal really - the CS3 which I personally prefer to the one in the GT10 - but the GT10 has a compressor and you just tap the compressor button to turn it on. You can also change where it sits in the fx chain, which is nice. I like to put it at the front of the FX chain but if you used too much compression you'll need a noise gate.

  • excelent work man.. thanks..

  • @mezuga Thanks

  • thanks for the info i have just purchased a boss gt 10 but have always used single analog effects so any help is most aprecitaed ... cheers

  • @TheGoddisco I've had this fx unit for some time and it's fantastic.

  • very nice!

  • can bo done so much easier and better on the X3 Live, with no extra pedals.... just sayin xD

  • @HudCouto The extra pedals are not providing the effect, I'm just using a CS3 as I prefer the sound and sustain quality it produces. I've never found an fx system yet that I like all the features on - I'm sure there's something that annoys you about the X3 LIve, it's always about compromise with FX units.

  • @mondino31 GT 10 has the best effects for a floor unit but definately the worst amp sims of them all....they sound so plastic its not even funny. If used with an amp then it ll shine...but then again so much money for effects only.....i think in this price range pod, tonelab, rocktron even zoom...have better units...The reason is that if the base of your sound(amp sims) is plastic then you really cant save the day even with superior effects.there are even free amp sims more realistic than this.

  • Hey... whats the setting on your compressor?

  • @excusetheaccent I think they were all 12 o'clock settings - you have to be careful not to crank it too much or you'll get feedback and noise - it's a bit of a balancing act. I put my compressor first in the chain on my new rig and put my GT10 NS circuit after it - that seems to work a treat. See my other videos and look for shine on, the sound there is much much better as it's recorded directly through a mixer and a reverb.

  • a sound is not very much alike

  • Thanks for the info.

  • @Carroll49 No problem, hope it helped

  • Nice job on the Vid, Mondino. I had to make some adjustments to get it to sound right with my equipment, but the basics are very, very good. Thanks for posting this.

    Mike

  • @TheElectVideos - No problem, glad it worked for you - I've done settings for Marooned which I'll upload soon.

  • i lost my patch shit

why in my assing i dont have delay effect level i just have

    on off time warp sw

  • no ofence, 1 star

  • hello, I have a question, I'm a proud owner of boss gt 10, but I have a problem... when I have set the gt10 as you said in the video, effect level on delay didn't respond as it should, when pushed the pedal(fx1) forward, the effect level yumped from 0 to 50% and when I did the oposite it didn't respond at all, I pushed the pedal forward again and effect level jumped from 50 to zero %.

If anyone has any idea, how to fix this problem, please help me.

  • @TheLtgp You need to set pedal to "moment "- see the commentry on my video.

  • Thanks, very cool.

  • what do you mean by set the delay peadal to momment

  • @floydcaillou You need to go into the assign funtion hit "display mode" and you'll see a list which you can scroll up or down in. Go to SRC mode and change this to moment (it will be set on toggle) This makes sure the pedal moves the effect 1 for 1 as you depress it, so full down is 100, up is 0, half way is 50 etc etc... If you leave this on toggle then the delay will only go on for each cylcle of the pedal, ie fully down on, full back off etc - which is not what you want for this effect.

  • Good Demo, I am a big Gilmour fan. I have been thinking lately of purchasing a POD X3 but I will not also investigate the BOSS

  • @Ajohn13 Thanks. I think this is a marked inprovement to the GT8 as it's so easy to use. I find older multi-effects may give you a headache on setup - this is why Boss have got this new pedal spot on. As for sound, let's face it, it mostly comes from your fingers and endless hours of practice - no pedal's going to sort that out unfortantely.

  • I agree. A processor is good to give you different sounds and to duplicate sounds you have heard. Also seems to spur on different ideas.Playing each day and practicing is most important. I also find that playing acoustic is important. It's just you and the guitar and finger strength. I wanted the GT8 but I ended up with the Digitech RP355 for now. I went for the cheap price. Can always sell it later on to move up to Boss.

  • Nice job !!!! I followed the clip from the gt-8 and got it to work similar to yours but I'm still learning how to use my GT-10. Just to let people know another thing the POD x3 Live can't do oh well!!!

  • @solo624 Thanks - not sure about POD x3 as I've never used one - seems to be a war similar to Xbox360 v Playstation3 - and if that's anything to go by there's probably nothing in it....!!

  • @mondino31 a buddy of mind just got an X3 and we did an A/B test using a few different amps. We both thought the GT-10 was better. Plus, as far as versatility and flexibility are concerned, the GT-10 is the king. I just wish they would catch up with Line 6 and embrace the computer interface instead of having to bend over and push all those buttons.
