  • 5:48 - 6:35 which live show was that version of Run Like Hell at?

  • @KISSrocks419 The footage is of "Is There Anyobdy Out There" from Earls Court. There is also footage of "Run like Hell" from that (widely bootlegged, I might add) show.

  • May 29th 2012, The Wall Live in Edmonton.

  • @VCClan

May 23rd, Portland. Gonna be a great show!

  • 5 people are disappointed by the results of syncing "The Wall' with "Missing in Action".....

  • after you achieved everything you hoped, you should have just killed yourself

  • Kinda funny we have a guy HIGH on LSD crawling up a stage to get spit on to thank for the creation of the wall <3

  • um...that one dude says Dark Side was on the charts for about 5 years...HAHA! try 15

  • I HAVE MET DAVE GILMOUR!! WHAT MORE CAN I SAY.....

  • 6:33 he was like "So much god damn work I had to do....."

  • HAMMERS!!!!!! X

  • I don't need Pink Floyd to feel like I'm tripping out. Just listen to this documentary through headphones. It's panning like crazy :P haha

  • wtf is wrong with your video its panning left and right every fukkin second

  • lmao im from montreal and im not surprised he spat on him... he was probably french

  • whats the name of the song at 1:27

  • @killerdeath20 Brain Damage off Dark Side Of The Moon.

  • @killerdeath20 It's called Brain Damage. It's the penultimate track on The Dark Side of The Moon.

  • @rockynanach ...He had every right to, the guy was screaming and climbing up a chain-wire fence to get on the stage, I think Roger would be pretty pissed at that point...

  • roger your a first rate ass to spit in your customers face, we dont behave like that in canada

  • @rockynanach Are you fucking kidding me? "We dont behave like that in canada" im canadian and thats the most arrogant self centered comment i have seen today ( which is a great feat for youtube, full of arsehole degenerate comments) dont speak for the whole country you dweeb, spitting on him may not have been the best route but the guy certainly was asking for it

  • @rockynanach As if you've never lost your temper...

  • @rockynanach

No you don't, I guess thats why there was a mass riot in Montreal after Guns N Roses turned up late on August 8 1992, which the authorities had a had time controlling.

  • we had prisms in physics :)

  • at 0:35 what song is that

  • @nucleardude11 omg seriously what is that song 0.o

  • @FcBarcaman1193 I NEED TO KNOW WHAT SONG THAT IS!!!!

  • @nucleardude11 , it's A Saucerful Of Secrets, specifically, the version from Live at Pompeii

    Here's a link: youtube.com/watch?v=76yQFV58-0o

  • He sounds polite even when he swears

  • 4:19 ROFL!

  • @Nisp4 LOL!!!!

  • from around 0:29 to about 1:12, you hear Gilmour singing.....what is the name of the song? It looks like it's from Live at Pompeii. Anybody know?

  • @gjc82071 it's the coda of Careful with That Axe, Eugene

  • @gjc82071 Actually...it is part of the song A Saucerful of Secrets called 'Celestial Voices'. Great song!

  • it would be an honor to have roger spit on me

  • Darkside was on the charts for 741, 14 years way more then 5 haha

  • @SHADOWCLONE177 DSOtM was number 21 last week. Amazing how a band that broke up 16 years ago has two albums currently charting. (The Wall is in the 130's)

  • What's the song at the 0:30 mark where David Gilmour is crooning?

  • @hobsonschoice13 A Saucerful Of Secrets, live at pompeii version

  • YEAH!! i have all three of those albums shown at 2:47!!! Dark Side, Elvis in hawaii, and billion dollar babies by Alice!! all fucking brilliant!

  • good enough but they should play bootlegs of roger yelling at the crowd

roger waters on stage rants are on youtube

  • Good docu totaly wasted with dum stereo flux!

  • R.I.P. Syd...

  • David glilmour your a god

  • Anyone know what happened to the kid Roger spat at? Be nearly 50 now you'd think

  • that's one of the things I like about the floyd. they all have class as musicians. not like all the others who have to do really disturbing unneccessary live crap in order to get attention. they focus strictly on the music but add a little theatre to jazz up that music and create a story. I think they're the only band that ever succeeded in doing that. but that's my opinion anyway.

  • @kermicheo i agree but of course theres one exception. the beatles. they didnt even do concerts past 1966 and they were huge.

  • what is the song from 0:30 to 0:42

  • @mountainbmx it's a saucerful of secrets , (live at pompeii version)

  • @LuchoDecaroli cheers

  • if roger waters or any pink floyd member spat in my face, i'd be honored!

  • @ZeppelinFloydRoses how long would it be before you washed your face?

  • @ZeppelinFloydRoses uuh . . . to each his own, I guess.

I think (I know!) that Pink Floyd is the greatest best of all time, but having anyone spit in my face is . . . not my kind of thing. Anyway . . .

  • @ZeppelinFloydRoses Thats nice for you, freak.

  • hearing a muslims swear is amazing hearing david gilmour swear is fucking awesome

  • Thats odd hearing david swear oh well hes an atheist im atheist he is still the greatest musicain in the world

  • @hogwarts09 who said christians didnt swear? NOt that I find it "cool"

  • a one kiss, led to the the most famous of all betrayals and to the most important crucifixion in history.

a one spit, led to the most important and popular music album in history.

  • this is brilliant thanks so much for posting this!

  • the audio sucks so back the hole fucking documentary

  • 0:30

    Brilliant stuff!

  • 5:09. i think this is the first time i have heard David Gilmour swear.

  • what about the song money?

  • I believe that is the first i have heard him swear too lol

  • "do goody good bullshit" Money

  • He swore in the song Money

  • @ThatSoRyanShow And pigs, he says " you fucked up old hag "

  • @johnjoseph22 Money...Bullshit

  • @johnjoseph22 That was Roger Waters, who is the best, by the way :)

  • @Mr2009Truth Sorry I posted 2 times...(3 now)

  • @johnjoseph22 That's Roger (just saying)

  • then you haven't listened to all the albums

  • i meant in an interview. He also swore in the Pompeii Director's cut, lol. sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • the cover album of dark side of the moon is epic

  • what song is that on 0:30?

  • A saucerful of Secrets live at Pompeii

  • oh thanks

  • In my opinion the first albums were very powerful. Ummagumma and A Saucerful of Secrets had very aggressive sounds. Ummagumma is not so easy album to get used to, but it has very fine moments nonethless.

  • the best band ever...

  • amazing how no matter how hard they tried, everyone did and will always attach the floyd directly to none of the things that the floyd actually represented. I myself didnt see it or understand it anyway until later in my life. Floyd is Life! *****

  • 2.45 the guy is sorta off.

it was on for 14 years

  • lol yea 714 weeks is alot longer than 5 years. I believe it stayed in the top 3 for 5 years straight, but could be off... id have to 2x check.....

  • Actually he said the BillBoard 100, so he may be correct. The 14 years number is the time it was on the the Billboard 200 list.

  • Dave is just a great caracter, and an awesome guitarist! My idol!

  • I wonder if the guy he spat on ever knew he was part of the inspiration for The Wall. That would be a trip

  • Dark Side of the Moon turned Pink Floyd into a phenomenon.

  • A Saucerful Of Secrets ;)

  • whats the song name from 1:00 to 1:10? does anyone know?

  • It is the last part of "A Saucerful of Secrets" like it was played live. This is the "Live at the Pompeii" version. I think it shouldn't be that hard to find it on youtube ;)

  • This may sound like a dumb question but, can I buy this documentary on DVD or anything?

  • I bought a DVDbox called "The great gig in the sky". it has a DVD for every album they made with documentaries and extra's... look it up, best 50bucks i've ever spend...

  • Wow thank you very much :)

    That sounds great.

  • what was the name of the song at 1:02-1:08? that shit sounds badasss dude lol

  • "A Saucerful of Secrets" from "Live at Pompeii".

  • that is A Saucerful of Secrets. the version that you heard from from the film "Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii"

  • Sounded like Echoes.

  • not at all...

  • Yes it does.

  • how? its not the same key, its faster, the melody is completely different...

  • Not really. Listen to it again.

  • ehm, i have...

  • It should sound like Echoes then.

  • its completely another song... w.e

  • Pink Floyd never sold any albums of any quantity until 'Dark Side...'?

Well, it all depends on how you define 'quantity', but 'Atom Heart Mother' DID make it to number 1 in Britain in 1970.

  • It made me laugh when you hear Gilmour and his very fine british accent in his english language, and then he says: We will build this FUCKING great wall :) Pink floyd for ever! Rip rick and syd..

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • Why do you write a comment saying "Pink Floyd wrote Dogs", on almost every pink floyd movie on YT? :-)

  • So people will be all like "why do you write a comment saying 'Pink Floyd wrote Dogs', on almost every pink floyd movie on YT?"

  • haha its your way to say "BrokenChair88 was here" xD?

  • dont talk to brokenchair88, is you realise what he really like. you wouldnt want to. trust me

  • it's really quite lame. he's probably 12 year old or something acting out for attention, which we're giving him, ugh.

  • hahaha fuck yes.

i've seen it and i figured as much.

tip of the cap to you sir.

  • fantastic question.

  • Roger saying that they'd "hung around for a bit longer" meant that Pink Floyd had achieved a pinnacle with "Dark Side". They'd reached the point that all artisit's strive for and gotten the recognition that they'd deserved. In all truth, they could have broken up then and still had a full career.

  • hung around?! if roger waters refers to wish you were here and animals as "hanging around",i guess hes a lot more modest than people give him credit for!

  • RIP Rick

  • 1943- September 15, 2008 Richard Wright. It's a shame, Everyone in Pink Floyd was an inspiration. Another member of the driving force has died. I thought I'd never have to say wish you were here to another band member from the dead. This has boughten deep sorrow. I'm hoping that Roger, Nick, and David do a show dedicated to Mr. Wright. I really hoped that Pink Floyd would someday settle their differences and hit it off. Richard Wright RIP, peace

  • Roger Waters kicks ass!!!

  • Pink Floyd were a combination of Roger Waters conceptual visions and basic songwriting, David Gilmour's revolutionary guitar style and musical grasp, Rick Wright's hauntingly subtle but beautiful keyboards and Nick Mason's simple but apt drumming style. Pink Floyd minus Roger Waters wasn't the same because they lost his lyrical and conceptual offerings. Roger wrote most of The Wall, but he didn't perform it all. And Berlin 1990 is weak compared to the Pink Floyd version.

  • Roger: "That was it...then we kind of hung around for many years after that, but really we kind of done it then."

It suprises me that Roger would say that?

Hung around? Yeah, they hung around and did Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall. Made the greatest music ever, made tons of money, and ochestrated the greatest shows ever. How can he say they just hung around after? I actually enjoy Wish You Were Here and Animals more than Dark Side.

  • I believe, had Syd not become incapacitated, the group would not have gone nearly as far as they did.

  • A saucerful of secrets is the best

  • whats the song at 00:36???

  • I'm very shamed, but what's the song's played in 00:30 - 00:40???

  • "A saucer full of secrets"

there also is a studio version of this track.. both wonderfull

  • that is the part 4 of Saucerful of Secrets called 'Celestial Voices'

  • waters and gilmore were the two power houses of the band, mason and wright kinda were the followers. i think waters kinda figured that the floyd was his baby and gilmores influence must have come across as a threat

  • sausageslaps

I see you quoted from a documentary, lol

can you not even use you're own words?

If you knew anything about floyd at all, u would realise that most music an lyrics were written by roger ;)

  • documentary my ass, dont be so shallow. i have been a fan of the floyd for 30 years. grow up!!

  • its all opinion my friends people are entitled to their own opinion so easy

  • Waters gets most (if not all) the credit for the Pink Floyd sound and its not right. People in general still give him most of the credit for Dark Side of the Moon for just writing the lyrics.

  • Well, feel bad for me mate, I surely don't feel bad for myself at appreciating the Floyd in the scope that I do and in all of their transformations. I do feel that for some reason you have been mislead and or seem to ignore the basic fact that the Floyd was a band who's main songwriter was Roger Waters. That's evident if you know their music. As for the fact that they did go on without him for two very weak albums, well the point there is proven. I have all the albums, the Roger era is the best.

  • And since you are only twenty, you would not know about Pink Floyd if the contributions, both musically and conceptually, of Roger Waters, had not developed the way they did. Gilmour is a fantastic guitarist/ singer and Wright did give Dark Side a few good touches but, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and Final Cut would not have changed popular music if it wasn't for Roger's concepts and musical guidelines. Brilliance brings ego, but I don't blame him. Look at what they gave us. Genious.

  • the wall was excellent! Come on man! Comfterably Numb, Mother???! Great solos and songs! COME ON!

  • I'm not saying The Wall isn't excellent. It's just it wasn't Pink Floyd anymore, not without Richard Wright.

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • I'm listening to Dogs right now.

  • I'm less of an Animals guy. I just think they lack the depth of Dark Side and Wish you were here. Lyrically aswell as musically

  • Me to.

  • dont reply to broken chair88 he says that on every pink floyd video

  • O RLY?

  • Without Waters they still have the Pink sound....but waters does not sound as much Pink on his own.

    Still good stuff though.

  • Yeah - I bought his early albums & thought the same thing; just don't spin 'em as often as classic Floyd jams! But I know a guy who dislikes PF w/o Waters. (It's largely just a position, an affectation; he "plays" base guitar). Of course, you've seen/heard the Pompeii vids. Never saw 'em before - damn! ;-)

  • What is the name of this documentary? Where can I get it?

  • The title of the documentary is in the title of the video; "Behind the Wall". As far as I know I think you can only get this bootlegged or something.

  • What's the first song they play in this video?

  • seacerful of secrets

  • 4:21 LOL

  • Dark Side is A tribute To Syd (other Than "Wish You Were Here") Roger Said That In An Interview.

    Pink Floyd FOREVER

  • I Take that back a lyric in a song is for syd

    Brain Damage:

"And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes,

I'll see you on the dark side of the moon"

    Thats what i meant

  • i would like to make a public apology for writing that comment, though i wasn't me.

And i too would like to send the same message to every fag who doesn't like pink floyd " U r a looser and fart eater"

    Pink Floyd Rules
