  • 6:35... "leaving Giles downstairs with his grules..." (followed by Giles priceless reaction to the narration).. lol.

  • the 'poison' in tansy is the same as in absinthe, they are over srsly acting like bitches

  • giles is a hot bitch

  • Wow, I've seen most of these episodes, but the horrid meat pie with heads, combs, and god knows what else is the first thing to make me actually gag. Just the thought of eating that cold for a week terrifies me.

  • 8:15 Snailgasm

  • Sue looks good with the ringlets. Ought to adopt them on a permanent basis I reckon.

  • haha the historian looks like harry potter 30 plus years from the end of the

    last movie

  • Thanks for uploading all these-this was my favourite thing on TV at the time :)

  • That pigeon pie mad me soooooo sad and ill

  • guhrrino@ I was thinking the samething

  • I do wonder..... if the water of London was undrinkable, yet they loved coffee and ale, how did they brew those things? Is it the boiling which made it safe? If so, couldn't they have just boiled water to drink? Maybe it didn't occur to them, just wondering.

  • @guhrrlno Yes, the boiling made it safe. I think hot water wasn't yummy to them *shrug*. :)

  • That pie reminds me of the pies in the Sweeney Todd movie x'D

  • The historian looks like Harry Potter....

  • they are gluttons at noon, but abstinent at night..haha, oh the french..

  • @hottekerstbabe lol they were like '' the english have it the wrong way around''

  • oh that pie is horrible... it's like the van scene in The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover *gags*

  • the pie looks sick. those poor people having to eat that. who inveted such a dish. I'm sure there are better ways of using all the animal.

  • Tansy has always been the bane of the farmer's field...it's terribly toxic to horses and cows.

  • If anyone would like to read the book, "The Gentlewoman's Companion or, a Guide to the Female Sex it is available online (full text) via Emory University. Sorry that I can't leave a link to it, just google search the title and Emory. :-)

  • layers of sad dead things

  • SKINNY caramel cappuccino? i've never heard of anything so daft.

  • @bastianskaye i know, these things are pathetic

  • @drewcox010101 oh, i love the series. i just don't understand the whole "skinny" aspect.

...then again, the regular to high-fat milk in the UK is VERY high-fat. it's so high-fat, it's indigestible. but calling something that's laced with caramel "skinny"? (boiled-down sugar with butter and cream added?)... it made me laugh. LOL

  • I am crying with laughter over the snails!!

  • After seeing those snails crawl over Sue's feet I think I have a new fetish.

  • Look, it's Harry Potter!

  • omg that pie filling was horrid! who the hell came up with crap like that EWWWWWWWW

  • Cadaver carousel... ;) Love Sue!

  • I think the fact that Restoration folks only drank booze because the water was too poisonous is a whole heap of poppycock. They drank themselves into absolute sodding blindness to kill their tastebuds over the bloody food they were scoffing...

...Crimminoy! How the hell did they ever convince these guys to make THIS episode?

  • @Shangas ..probablythe thought of drinking ale not water ..maybe curiosity?.. who knows ^^

  • @Shangas The Restoration really couldn't drink the water, thats where the sewagers went!!!!!!

  • @ravendarkwater I know that. I was joking.

  • aw but the snail is so cute

  • if how we celebrate Christmas nowadays was first created in the 19th century how did people celebrate it in the 17th century....... just curious lol (:

  • i think we should send all the picky children of the world to a "back in time" food camp, i bet they would NEVER! be picky again!!!!!! lol

  • So glad these are up !!!

  • Brilliant hahahahah :) i imagine having a snail gently crawling down your feet might perhaps be quite tickily

    hahahahha such a good programme

  • about the coffe shop.

what ive heard coffe used to be popular,

    but

the women thought that the men where cheating on their wives,

    when drinking coffe

    so it was basically forbidden

    thats why tea came

  • 3:39 - I love the description of a "cadaver carousel." Somehow fitting. :)

  • 2.47: "Dit is wel zo'n beetje de naarste grabbelton ooit." XD

  • Who peeks round the door at 0.12??
