What is the source for the '1-out-of-6' statistic? I know many women, NON were raped. I know many men who know hundreds of women, and NON of them were raped. If factcheck. org is legitimate enough, it says that the legislation was passed by former Alaska Governor Knowles. Sarah Palin was a mayor at the time, and would of had nothing to do with the passing or vetoing of state legislation. However, the law continued to be enforced while she was Governor. It should be noted that alleged victims didn't have to pay out of pocket, it was charged to their insurance. It's unclear if the uninsured had to pay out of pocket.
