  • I love the thunderbolt !! I know some phones are better but the thunderbolt was my 1st smartphone love it only 14

    !!

  • Ok so i am between the rezound and the nexus. I am really split between which phone i should get. Ive seen so many reviews saying that the nexus is better but you make a good point about the rezound. Which should i get?

  • Dislike bc I can see up your nose. And the color of the thunderbolt is what I love about it. The tones are warmer and deeper... Not what I'd call blendy :p

Also, the phones weren't really compared. You were kinda just like, "the rezound is awesome. If you don't agree, you're stupid and i will not respond to you. You should absolutely text and drive. Blendy, blendy, blendy! All the cool kids are getting the rezound. Duh. Idiot." B)

(That was like 72% joke, btw.)

  • I replace stock launcher w/launcherpro on rezound & the 3D app drawer is ultra croppy yet on my bionic & my other 3G android devices its liquid smooth ... do u know y or b wiln 2 chk it out n c if its the same on yer HTC REZOUND

  • I've the BIONIC & its blazing on 4G

  • The phone renting idea is brilliant, I can't believe no carrier has tried this yet. I've been complaining for a while now how it's a bunch of BS that we're expected to pay 200-400 for every new device that comes out every 3-4 months. Money doesn't grow on trees. Renting would be an awesome solution to this problem.

  • Excellent comparison, well paced, clear, just great. LIke you I switched to verizon to pick up the thunderbolt when it launched (cause 4g lte is amazing). Crazy buggy phone, rooting helped it but whatever - actually just sold it on ebay! Currently have a droid charge ... gonna be picking up a rezound off craigslist tomorrow that has extended battery - looking forward to seeing how my experience lines up with yours. I really like the look of the razr but its a tad wide.

  • Oh...just went to view the other 2 videos you alluded to about the Rezound...not finding them. Did I misunderstand you having said there are 2 other videos where you spoke about/dealt with the Rezound? On your DRIPHTER site I don't see them either (?).

  • Dude, it's your presenTAtion! lol...yeah, it's AWEsome! :) Good stuff!

  • You look like that guy, jimmy brother , the guy I was telling everyone one about, the singer

  • My local Verizon store has had every single GNex they've sold returned because of dropped calls and connections. Not only do you have the frustration of the drops, the radio drains the battery faster as it works to hold a signal. Tests indicate it receives signal at about half the strength of the Rezound or RAZR. It's a cool phone, but you're nuts or a fanboy if you think it's a 10/10.

  • I tried all three and always used moto, but i applaud rezound and sense (if you like sense) but playing a mp4 HD video is awesome on it, and able to surf and chat at the same time is cool.. the camera is no slouch either.. when i play songs with my beats headphones its well done since its made for it.. some drawbacks is some games wont load since snapdragon is picky.

  • I was considering buying a razr n was wondering whether or not its camera is actually as bad as stated in reviews n whether its a good buy?

  • I appreciate the brutal honesty man. I was leaning towards the rezound and after your video I will be scooping it this week. Preesh.

  • i have a thunderbolt and and cant uptade for a while could you use your thunderbolt sim card in any of these new devices with verizon. or would they exchange your sim card if you purchases one of the newer phones off a third party source ?

  • @BlankDarkblade keep in mind that the gnex is 1.5ghz but underclocked from the factory to 1.2 and with the immenent bootloader unlock coming, pure ics can be had on the rezound if you are savvy with rooting and flashing zips :)

  • @mysticalmalissa the rezound will inevitably have htc's overlay BUT they are going to unlock the bootloader. this means you can root it and load a version of ics with no overlay such as cm9 :)

  • @ace06ify yes it will :)

  • @mysticalmalissa the rezound won't look anything like the current ICS experience like on the GN because the GN is just plain ICS with no overlay. The rezound more than likely will, it is an HTC after all. IMO stick with the GN if you want faster updates, and an all around faster phone. I know the rezound is 1.5 ghz while the GN is only 1.2 however, with no overlay to load the GN is much faster processing.

  • I owned the Rezound for almost two weeks and returned it. I now have the Galaxy Nexus and am in LOVE with ICS and the size(yeah I know, I'm a typical woman and size matters) BUT I am missing the amazing camera of the Rezound and the ability to talk and surf the web at the same time.

Do you have any idea at all how the Rezound will be once it gets ICS? Will it have sense on it, or will it look and work just like it does on the GN?? I have one week left to decide. HELP! Please?!

  • Is the HTC resound geting ica

  • What if we all think u might be a idiot. Maybe think u might be a idiot because u like the rezound. And buy the way I don't have a razor or a rezound or nexus but have tested all 3 and razor does have the best camera out of all of them and will be improved with performance with ics the camera on the nexus blows chunks and the camera on rezound is decent

  • i just got the nexus..i chose it because i like the bigger screen and the beautiful screen..both razr and nexus are very fast..camera about the same...and verizon threw in an extended battery....i had the thunderbolt and unlike you i liked it but i had issues where the text messages would go t the wrong people..in my line of work i just cant have that happen..i hope i made the right choice..i didnt like the resound..nothing against it..just want anything HTC anymore.

  • @masterofidiots55 go with nexus , its better than the razr ,well at least for me . I own the rezound by the way :)

  • a very... interesting video.. lol

  • droid razr doesnt have a qhd display it has a super amolded display

  • @ImportKid954 you are correct and wrong in the same sentence. Let me explain . . . The Droid RAZR features a qHD Super Amoled display. The "q" in qHD means quarter HD or 1/4th of a Full HD 1080p frame. The RAZR's screen is 960×540 which is an exact 16:9 aspect ratio.

Thus qHD is the "resolution" and Super Amoled is the type of "display"

The Atrix and Sensation also feature this qHD resolution. It is a popular resolution in handsets right now. Hope this helps :)

  • how long do you think it will be before the rezound will get ICS just a guess

  • i like samsung touchwiz..

    so wat about galaxy s2??

rezound looks sexy.. but i'm already using HTC evo 4g.. please help..

  • I'm stuck in 2 year contract with thunderbolt. Its not a bad phone when u root it. Igor a year left but been thinking about paying full price for nexus. What u think? When do u think 4.0 will come out for rezone?

  • You should have both hands on the wheel and not be touching your phone while driving. You could kill someone.

  • ok thanks man what do you mean by haveing full control over the nexus? is there any kind of noticable tint on the nexus screen? (like the razr has the green tint) would you be able to tell me the things you find annoying about the nexus?

I have played with the nexus in the store. when i said i didnt get the chance to play with it i ment like use it to the point were i find things out like hidden features and problumes with it.

thanks for you time dude i appriciate it.

  • wow lmao that was faster then i thoght. yea i was thinkin to grab the nexus however, what i need to know if the nexus is that much better. verizon gave me 4g of memory for the same price as 2. i belive if i make an exchange it goes back to normal so i would only get 2g of memory. do you think getting a nexus is worth giving up the extra 2g? i have never got the chance to really play with the nexus, thats why im asking.

  • @masterofidiots55 honestly, you should go to the store and get some hands on time with the nexus before you give up on the razr. If you want to have full control over your device go Nexus, but if that isn't a priority, stick with the razr. hope that helps :)

  • @masterofidiots55 if you barely go through 2GB I am not sure it matters, but if you need the extra data, I would not give it up.

Keep in mind that if you are happy with 4GB of data and love your RAZR, I would keep it b/c in 12 more months there will be even better devices than the nexus out there. Motorola especially with quad core, docks, and more!

Pay now or pay later but you will pay lol. In the tech world you can never satisfy the craving for the next "best" thing

  • @masterofidiots55 for you id say grab the nexus and extended battery

  • ok so clearly i am an idiot lol well only sometimes, i think. ok anyway im an idiots in NEED. so i have 1 week yes 1 WEEK to make a decision on keeping my droid razr or trading it for a nexus. your opionion, SHOULD I DO IT? please dont say rezound, its to bulky for me. I CAINT stand the razrs screen when brightness is turned down and hate the camera however thats only complaints i have, oh plus ive only had it for a week and its startting to lag.

is it a good decision to trade?

  • To you your gay cuz I said so lmao

  • so I guess the thunderbolt is still relevant? at the end of 2012? *I know its not btw I'm not stupid*

  • Your gay

  • @lkn26ksdk5 thank you for taking the time to post such a well thought out comment! Happy New Year!

  • @lkn26ksdk5 Your gay? Or my gay....Or his gay? To whom does this gay belong??

  • Hey, so the battery life is better on the Rezound than the Nexus, and how much so? Is that with or without an upgraded battery? I have decided to purchase one of these two and the answer to this shall decide my decision.

  • @XxDecrepifyxX On the Nexus with the leaked 4.0.3 radio I am getting 8-10hrs during heavy use and 12-14hrs with light to no use. This is with the 2100 mah battery. While using the Rezound and stock battery, I got 14hrs a day every day hammering on the phone.

I will say, running the 4.0.3 software has made the Nexus more appealing to me, but I still think the rezound wins. If you are a trend setter get the nexus, if you can wait to be awesome, grab the rezound hands down. ICS FTW

  • @driphterCom Thanks, I'm going Rezound, music is a big thing to me too so that plus what you've told me it is a no question now.

  • I've side by sided the razr and Tbolt and even a year older the Tbolt owned the razr in inet speed. Also..no removable battery? I don't think so.

Other than that I'm glad I got and am sticking with the original Incredible. At least it actually fits in my pocket. Shame Verizon didn't give it the attention it deserved.

  • Yeah as a flagship phone the tbolt should've been better out of box. Took some rooting and roming to get it what it should be. Now to an android enthusiest this is no big deal but to an average consumer it just wasn't fair. But that's vzw for ya. And also most people don't know where the phone ends and the software begins. If the rezound was unlockable and ics, now there's a damn fine device.

  • I guess I did hate on the Thunderbolt a little too hard lol. It does do a couple things well, but coming from an original HTC Incredible, I found myself always missing my Inc. Usually when I switch devices there is a high feeling of satisfaction and the TB left me feeling a little underwhelmed.

  • I think you're spot on 100% correct with every thing you just said....except the thunderbolt. I'm sorry to hear you are one of the many to receive a shoddy device but for those who got a good one its still the cream of the crop. Still tons of dev and community support. That being said my list is as follows 1) gnex, because of ics and unlocked 2) rezound 3) thunderbolt 4) razr

  • I agree with you! The Nexus is just ok...it's the software that critics love. When the Razr and Rezound gets ICS, they'll be just as good or even better.

  • awesome video and i just got the rezound and it a way better phone which last for a year or two bc it has almost every feature imaginable

  • @manuelnv55 because your an idiot

  • Dude stf up

  • Great video. I enjoyed your approach. Still love my DX. I flash roms on a regular basis to hold my interest. Being I have an upgrade in April, I'm sure by then we will be talking about several newer better devices.

  • though a little on the edgey side. i appreciate your take on the 4 phones. ... I considered all 3, but then I realized I am perfectly happy with my Bionic. :)

  • I think your married to htc. And that's ok we live in a free country personally I think the galaxy nexus is the phone to phone to have I mean don't get me wrong I've owned the razr and that thing was super fast no problems I also owned the iPhone.I think it's all about personal choice

  • @OceansideCreations i have them all and honestly the display on the rezound is the most impressive. the colors are the sharpest, clearest, and most accurate the devices i have ever used. if you havent tried a rezound in person, you need too for sure. the stats are deceiving.

  • Idk about the rezound being the best.. I mean its faster, but it has a LCD display which is a deal breaker. It makes the blacks look washed out. Other than that its a solid phone.

  • @MrFunnyass123 on att i would go samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket

  • whats the best phone on att

  • I think we must realize companies that build and design these phones hold back certain ideas so they can get you to purchase the next best product. There is no such thing as the best phone because two months later there gonna come out with the next best product which makes you feel like you've been ripped off. Trust me you haven't.....you have to dig deep and find something in your current phone that makes you happy. Stop buying these new damn phones every time there's a new phone in the market.

  • I have the Droid Incredible, and as outdated as it is, I still love it. The only thing i dont like about it is Sense. im pretty much over it and wish HTC would make a phone that was pure android. The Razr looks the sexiest lol I dont like the GNex design much, but ICS is soo cool looking. Im going to have to just learn how to root.

  • Right on dude, everyone got the nexus cause of the ISC not because of the phone its self. I will be upgrading my phone to the rezound now....Good video

  • I hate my thunderbolt

  • Nexus 10/10

  • you shouldn't use one hand on the wheel idiot........stop texting while driving!

  • Good

  • Why do you hate on the thunderbolt?

  • Great video. Very informative.

  • Great video I truly enjoyed it makes me think about getting the Rezound now.
