4:20 thats wrong. Total War got the Saxon Huskarls wrong. They should be carrying the axe with their right hand down and left hand near the blade so that when they cut they cut into the enemy's right hand side where there's no shield to protect them.

The original battle was won by the Hordes because the England won the battle with the vikings but they lost many of their farmers n elite forces so they dragged their tired troops to confront the hordes n lost.... very badly n the hordes toke over England n revolutionise it

@Zanator1 History in British schools tends these days to concentrate on more recent history, less on battles, more on social history (touch of political correctness). There's a Time Commanders book which also covers historical background for all the battles in the first series, including this one - don't know if there ever was one for the series after that.... Like you say though, he's a little kid - seems a bit harsh to demand a background in military history.
